Hard to filter through transactions
Looking through recent transactions it’s extremely hard to follow as there seems to be too much text provided by line item. Additionally, I received a refund from a company 3 weeks ago and I can’t even find it in the list. When I filter on “refunds” the amounts show up but as a positive amount rather than negative, so it looks like it’s showing twice. Nothing on the line item indicates a refund at all, other than the fact that I filtered on that type. Adding colors could be helpful, or something else to help distinguish. I have such a hard time determining which transactions flow in to my current balance compared to any other banking apps.
Also, having to wait numerous days for payments to reflect in available credit is also frustrating. With any of my other credit cards this is reflected immediately.
Overall, I love the idea of this company and think it has great potential, just a few things that need some work to create a better user experience.

5k starting credit card limit, but app is unreliable and the only way to make payments...
Firstly, they ONLY report to Equifax right now so if you want to use this card to build a TransUnion and/or Experian score you’re wasting your time. Secondly, the only way you can access your account online is by downloading the app, which would be great if the app actually worked, which half the time it doesn’t (for example I tried to make a payment this morning but it failed).
Thankfully their email support is pretty quick. They just need to iron out all their other issues. The trouble they face is they’re targeting a smartphone-only generation but the smartphone generation demands a fool-proof, streamlined UX. Right now there is more style over substance and that is not what personal finance is about, especially in this generation.
I did get a $5k starting limit with relatively little paperwork or effort required, and the APR isn’t bad for somebody on a work visa. But all this means very little if they make it challenging to pay off a balance or report their credit to a bureau other than equifax.
Ultimately, CreditStacks’ strategy is good but their execution is poor. I hope they improve soon...
Unprofessional App for a Credit Card
There have been MANY issues with this app since changing without notice to ‘Jasper’, some more serious than others for a bank/credit card institution.
UPDATE: Jasper allowed $2000 of fraud to go through on my account, despite 13 prior fraudulent account tests with a wrong CVV number. It will take 60 days to be refunded and over 3 phone calls I got inconsistent information on the other attempts. Do not trust this card or the customer service.
Please update the immature design and functions.
- Refunded transactions look identical to charges, there is no way to tell if a refund was processed without calling customer service.
- My card was blocked automatically for fraudulent activity, however when I enquired there were no notes or information on where/when the fraud attempt occurred.
- There is no possible way to add an apartment number to your address on the app if it needs to be updated - it only results in an error message. As a result, my new card delivery may not arrive as it’s being sent to a street address with no apartment number.
- Navigating the app to see transactions is frustrating, bad UX and the filters are terrible.
- $ amounts are rounded up or down on some screens, this is childish and gives little trust in the ability of Jasper to deal with money. When dealing with credit, figures should be exact not rounded.
- Other small issues include intermittent ghost notifications that cannot be removed, Face ID log in issues.
