Descrição

This app blocks JavaScript on any website. It blocks most:

• Ads
• Newsletter popups
• Cookie requests
• Wasted megabytes of third-party JavaScript libraries

When you encounter a website with too much JavaScript, just click a toolbar icon, refresh, and voilà! No more interactivity.

Alternatively, you can use JavaSnipt to block JavaScript on *all* websites and allow only sites you trust. It's up to you!

Some sites, like YouTube, will not work with JavaScript blocked. That's why JavaSnipt targets only sites you select.

By purchasing JavaSnipt for macOS, you will also unlock JavaSnipt for iOS. Your blocked sites sync between all your devices via iCloud.

The web has too many popups and third-party scripts. It wasn't designed to respect your privacy or battery life. Take back control with JavaSnipt.

(The crab is Snippy, our mascot. Think of this app as him snipping away the extra JavaScript.)

Works great

Those of us who need this product and understand it’s purpose recognize the value it adds to online safety and battery life. Works absolutely great. Thank you for maintaining this!

Does what it says on the tin, but glitchy

This app does give you the nuclear option if you want it. Fully disabling Javascript is seldom healthy for modern websites, so you have to. know that's what you want to do, but if it is: buy this app.

But do so knowing it is glitchy. If you manually enter a blocked URL, it will appear in both the blocked and allowed lists. Which is it? If you use the UI buttons to block a site, it may take several attempts for it to work. But once it does, that Jaavscript is DOA.

I'm not sure the nuclear option is really all that useful -- something more targeted is likely more practtical -- but I'm not reviewing what I wish the app did, just whether it does what it says. It does, with some hiccups.

App doesn't work

I added a site to Block JS On Listed Sites, but it is also showing in the Allow JS on Listed Sites. So is it really blocking or allowing? I don't see any difference to the site to be honest. I'm running Safari on MacOS v14.

Resposta do desenvolvedor ,

Ken, sorry the UI wasn’t clear. JavaSnipt blocks JS on listed sites if you click that option. If you click Allow on These Sites, it’ll block JS everywhere except the listed sites.
