Q: Where can I find these stations online?
A: Follow the link to the page in the app.

Q: Why do some of the stations have the wrong song titles?
A: The MetaData (or song titles) are collected from the websites providing the stream. They have either mislabeled the song or it has not updated yet.

Q: Why are some stations blank at times?
A: Some of these stations are controlled by real DJs and if they aren't playing anything at the time or their site is down no music will play. Fortunately we have over 80 Channels so you will always have a lot to choose from.

Mostly Pop “Jazz” with too many Commercials?

I’m not into what’s called “Smooth Jazz”, because despite the considerable talents of some of the practitioners, as a genre it’s more pop or funk music than jazz. Remember the axiom: It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing!

I spent an hour or so after downloading the app categorizing the channels, and what I found was that out of the 56, 22 were pop music with jazz-type improvisation usually, 18 were Jazz, 9 were miscellaneous, 5 were Latin, while one was Classical and the last Hawaiian. The commercials were way too frequent so I almost dumped it right there and gave two stars.

I returned to add another star after listening to two or three of the dedicated jazz stations for a couple of hours, especially Jazz Groove. No ads at all and only one pop/funk tune, by Stanley Clarke, so since he’s the real deal I gave him a pass. 😉

After my second session I returned to make it four stars and that’s my usual max. To get five not only must an app do what it says but must be good in bed and clean my somewhat skanky bathroom. Thanks to this great dev I may have to soon add that last one anyway.

Cool Jazz Florida

So I picked this station since I’m from South Florida originally, and whoa surprise, surprise! The DJ is Stu Grant! I used to only
listen to Love94 when I lived there. On Sundays, he would have a special that I never missed. Every year I went to the Valentine’s Day concerts, never missed one. My last one was with Bobby Caldwell at CB Smith Park. I even have two wine glasses that say Love94 when we attended a concert at their studios with the Rippingtons. So now this is all I will listen to when I’m home! So happy 😁!

The best streaming jazz!

I may try other stations but I always go back to Oscar Peterson - the best streaming instrumental jazz variety of sophisticated jazz music. The app provides a lot of choices but OP is the best of them all. A lot of the “smooth jazz” streaming stations are simply canned retail store junk music - for non-jazz aficionados. OP knows what is the best instrumental jazz from across the decades, and they don’t always interrupt the music with donation appeals like the rest. Because of that I do donate!
