CE-5コンタクト イベントとは、ETI(地球外知的生命体)との友好的なコンタクト方法を実践する場であり、一方的な観察ではなく、　相手からの反応を受け取ることができる双方向のコミュニケーション手段です。CE-5は世界中で唯一、決まった手順に基づいて正しいコンタクトを行うシステムです。この方法を活用して、民間レベルでの活動が20年間に渡って世界中で続けられています。この活動により、体験者は地球人として共通した意識を感じ取り、宇宙的で外交的な目的に目覚めることができます。 CE-5コンタクトシステムは、長年の試行錯誤の結果、成り立っています。 定義：CE-5(Close Encounter of the 5th Kind/第５接近遭遇)とは、地球外知的生命 (Extraterrestrial Intelligence/ETI)との第５種接近遭遇を意味し、一方的にコンタクトをとるのではなく、双方向のコミュニケーションを特徴とします。 CE-5ムーブメントは、互いを尊重し、接触をしてやり取りをするという普遍的な原理に基づき、地球外知的生命と我々の両側からコミュニケーションを取ることに主に重点をおいています。CEの第１種から４種は基本的に受け身であり、 地球外知的生命から引き起こされるものであるのに対し、第５種はそれらとは異なり、意識的、自発的、かつ積極的に我々から働きかける協調的な接触を指します。 過去に第５種接近遭遇(CE-5)が実際に起こった事を示唆する証拠も存在し、当然成熟していくであろう人間と地球外知的生命の関係の可能性を求めて、さらなるリサーチと努力が必要になるでしょう。さしあたり、このような接触と交流の最終的なコントロールは、進化した地球外知的生命「ETI」の高度な技術によって続いていくでしょう。しかしながら、これが思考や自発的な人間の活動、また、接触と従来のCE第１種から４種を探求する重要性を軽視することにはなりません。
