Rating of JDCU
I have been a member of JDCU since I was a young boy. I’ve used them for my savings, checking accounts, and car and truck loans. I’ve also used their credit card for many years, but it came to a point where I knew I was wasting money paying 10% interest on my credit card, so I had to look elsewhere to pay down the card as quickly as possible, as I’m not getting any younger and need to find ways to save money, so I had to transfer my credit card balance to another card company and bank. With that decision I have save several thousands of dollars that would have gone to paying interest had I stayed with JDCU for my credit card. I still use JDCU, and they have great service, but it would be great if they could lower their card interest rate.

Transaction list was better before
I love JDCU, but I miss the way the transaction list used to be. Don't get me wrong, there are many great things about the new version of the app. But, having to click on each individual transaction to see what it was for, is honestly a pain, and quite a drain on time. Having an app is supposed to make life easier and faster. Well, the way the transactions used to be, you could log in, go into your account, and see all transactions and what/who they were for, all in one quick glance. Now, you have to click one, then back, then the next one, then back, then the next one, and on and on...and if you need to scroll down a couple of days and you need to load additional transactions, don't click on anything unless you're absolutely sure it's the one you want. Because if it's not, you have to scroll again and load more transactions again - for several pages, depending on how far down you need to go. It's just very time consuming. But, other than those two things, I don't have any other problems with the app.

A Good Start, but Flow is Broken
JDCU has put the convenience of mobile banking as the main and most desirable feature of their mobile app. It’s a compelling argument for use of the app over just using the web site with a mobile browser, but lack of flow testing has made this customer uncertain if transactions have entirely completed. One issue was that during a mobile deposit submission, the mobile deposit agreement appeared. Closing this message left the submit button slightly faded and unable to be tapped, and attempting to deposit the same check results in a “suspected duplicate.” There’s no clear indication of what state the transaction is in. Meanwhile, all exits from a deposit result in a “Hang tight” redirection which never concludes. More testing should be done to ensure the user gets to an unambiguous message about the state of mobile deposit transactions so that this feature is not only useful but trustworthy and does not cause doubt or frustration.
