Please bear in mind, people, that this is the App Store, and you're here to review the Jenius Bank app – *not* to review Jenius Bank's products or services.So, my assessment of the Jenius Bank app is that the developers have worked to do yet. I think this bank – in its current iteration – and the app are pretty new, so it's understandable that there would be work yet to do. Logging in is a bit clunky; you have to manually tap "Log in with Face ID" in order to log in with Face ID, which you shouldn't have to, and the rest of the app is pretty minimalist. It would be very helpful to be able to copy one's routing and account numbers, for example, and that functionality is not provided, so you have to keep switching back and forth between your other bank's app and the Jenius Bank app in order to tell your other bank what your Jenius Bank routing and account numbers are. This app just has a bunch of rough edges like that. Hopefully they'll be ironed out before too much longer.

The app is smooth and looks great. That said, it’s quite minimal and there’s missing functionality at the moment. I can see more detail tied to my interest rates on the website and none of that can be found within the current app iteration. I will continue to use the browser version, which provides all of this and more, until the app is improved.

Recommend Zynlo or OpenBank or NewTek bank instead if looking for reliable high APY account. Most of this banks customer service team is awful, lazy, not knowledgeable and lacks basic customer service skills. To get even just a basic question answered they often first give out wrong information or refuse to help. I had to ask details about a deposit and timeline for when it would finalize, they said they don’t have access to see any information on any deposit details. Which makes no sense since they are the bank in which transaction happened. Spent 15 min with the rep refusing to do their job. Asked for supervisor who answered question correctly with needed info within 2 min. Deposits take forever to clear often times with this bank. And they use high interest rate to get customers in the door then lower rate immediately after. Awful bank. Transferring to another bank immediately and closing account.

I haven’t had my Jenius HY savings account for very long, but I’ve only had two complaints so far with the system. The first one being that there wasn’t an app the second one being I wish that a checking account match came out as well. I know the checking account is eventually on the way, but I’m so excited that there’s finally an app I don’t have to be locked into my computer or hope that my password has behaved it a browser when I get out of my password and then use Face ID and make absolutely certain that I have full access to my financial dashboard the clean and easy to understand interface.
