Description

Since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, prayer has replaced animal sacrifices. Through prayer a Jew pours out his heart to his Creator thanking Him for His many kindnesses and asking Him for help in his daily tasks. One of the main goals of prayer is to remember Jerusalem daily and ask for it to be rebuilt. That's why wherever a Jew finds himself he has to pray facing Jerusalem as "Jerusalem is the light of the whole world".

Sometimes when we find ourselves in unfamiliar places or while travelling, it's unclear to us how exactly are we supposed to daven. That's when a comfortable application "Jew Compass" will come to help by determining exactly the accurate direction we need.

It's our dream that this app will help many Jews to pray correctly and may we merit to see the rebuilding of Jerusalem speedily, in our days.

Good little app

The app does what it claims to do. It uses the built-in compass to point to the Western Wall. I imagine that in future releases of the app we'll see:
- instructions in English (not only in Russian)
- the option to choose the method of calculating the correct direction for Tefiklah whether via direction (as present) or via shortest route (great circle line) as it is a matter of dispute which way to face.
Thank you to the developer for a fine and easy tool. I've turned to it in many venues (how many times at an airport or a wedding hall has it been unclear which way to face).

Just what I need.

I don’t know whether this product is accurate, but I assume it is, and if it is then it’s indispensible for the traveller. East is easy to find, but this compass doesn’t give you east, it gives you the Kotel. Much better.

Simple and Perfect

I love an app that does one thing and does it well. I’ve used this from India to New Jersey, and it never failed!
