A Dallas newspaper reporter and some JFK history nerds have created the definitive self-guided tour of the vanishing history surrounding the JFK assassination in Dallas.

More than a half century after the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas, there's still plenty of living history touched by the events of Nov. 22, 1963. Beyond the Texas School Book Depository and Dealey Plaza, important landmarks and key players are slowly being forgotten. These pages are dedicated to documenting this rapidly vanishing history in and around Dallas. Through video, modern and historic images, and an interactive map, this app provides information about the important landmarks and key players.

This is a useful and interesting app. The tone is entertaining but factual. I also like the way it allows you to easily follow the many facets of this story through menus, photo and video galleries and an interactive map.

I particularly enjoyed the interactive map. You can see all of the important sites and their relationship to each other and the motorcade route. The map also allows you to follow Oswald's escape from the book depository - it's an almost logistically impossible getaway on foot, city bus, and taxi. It really makes you wonder how Oswald made such complicated tracks yet still found himself in Oak Cliff 30 minutes later at the site where Officer Tippit was killed.

Super APP!

This is the best JFK app! It has all the elements. Facts, pix, quiz, extra good to know stuff, walking tour with pix. Get it before you go to Dallas. You will get a lot more out of your visit. Get it if you are just curious about why everyone is always making such a big deal out of the Kennedy assassination,- still, after all these years. You will find the answers and more right here!

Texas Insider view to JFK tragedy

I love this app because I actually don't know much about Kennedy's assassination, since I wasn't born yet. I like that this has an interactive map of all the important Dallas sites, and the images are amazing! It is very well researched, well written, and filled with a whole cast of colorful characters that I've never even heard of! Finally, the Conspiracy Quiz was a real eye-opener! Check this app out!
