Great App, Bad Timer

I love Jigsaw World. There's a large number of puzzles and some of them are absolutely beautiful. I also like the fact that it times you and you can even try to beat your score on a previous puzzle.

But the timer doesn't work very well. I often cannot finish a puzzle in one sitting. I will pause the game and go back to it later. When I come back later, I finish the puzzle in just a minute or so. And that's the time it gives me -1 minute. It doesn't remember that I spent several minutes on it before I paused it. And I couldn't possibly beat that score. Ever.

Lost everything

I use to play this on FB, where it originated. I decided to get the app and play that way instead of on my laptop. The game started completely over, of course I connected to FB. I had puzzles, coins, xp on FB. Loaded the app took me through a tut. Never updated my FB game. I lost everything from FB. I went on my laptop yesterday, logged into the game, yep, lost everything. I started playing this, CSW, and tile twist in 2016 on FB, there were no apps for these games at the time. I’m level 19 in CSW. I’ve written the developers and supposedly they can’t restore anything.
I spend a lot in CSW, real money to buy credits.
Needless to say, yeah, I’m pretty darn upset. I work hard to earn my coins, xp, uploading pictures and get one from a friend everyday. To only find I lost everything.
One more thing... there is no in game mail. Like in CSW and tile twist, we have an envelope that contains puzzles or pictures sent to us by our FB friends. The app nor the FB version have the envelope to go in and choose a picture from a friend. It pops up only when you log into the game. Once you click it off, only way to get to it is by closing the game then reopening it. Why is the envelope not in our menu? There is also no, ‘send to friends’ choice either.
Why did you redo this game? Don’t fix something that’s not broken.

Not thrilled with this version

I have never understood a developer’s rationale to fix something that wasn’t broken. I have played for years and purchased multiple puzzle packs. After taking a hiatus from puzzle games, I decided to go back to what was the best puzzle game available. Not impressed. Now it is harder to play on an iPad. Often when you try to move a piece, the whole puzzle moves instead. In order to see all pieces at once, you need to decrease the puzzle size and the pieces become exceptionally tiny. I spend the first few minutes of the game moving pieces from the outer perimeter to an interior place where they all can be seen when the size of the puzzle is increased. Yes, I know you can select to see outer edges but to me that is cheating and decreases the fun of the game. I may continue playing occasionally but the fun factor has definitely been decreased. Sometimes newer isn’t better.

This version of the game has more features, many more jigsaws, free jigsaws each week and is optimised to work with newer devices. This matches up with the version of the game on other devices/platforms, which was our number one request from players. We hope that with time you might find you enjoy the new features of the game. You might be interested in turning off the 'Move by dragging with 1 finger' option in the game's settings - turning this off means that you can only move the puzzle around using two fingers, so you won't accidentally move it when using one finger to move a piece. This version also features many larger jigsaws than the old version, which is why zooming may sometimes be required, but we also have lots of smaller jigsaws available still if you prefer not to have to zoom (including all the jigsaws that you had previously bought) in particular our coffee break sets, and you can play any sized jigsaw with large size pieces. We hope this helps!
