CBT for panic attack and phobias

Jitters is an app to help you manage your relationship with anxiety, panic attacks and phobias. Through exercises used in CBT, or cognitive behavioral therapy, you are exposed to the physical symptoms experienced during panic as well as words, cartoons, photos and videos of your phobia. By gradually increasing the duration and intensity of these exercises,
your fight or flight response begins to be triggered less often.

I initially built this app as a tool to help overcome and track my own phobia and I hope that it helps you as well.

Great app for interoceptive exposures

I’m using this app to help me with panic and physical anxiety symptoms. I really like the aesthetic of the app and the simplicity of using it. That being said, there hasn’t been an update for 3 years and there are some bugs that make it a little frustrating to use. Also, as others have said, I wish there were more than three phobias for people even though I’m not using it for phobias. There’s no other app like this and I really wish it was getting a little more love from the developers!

Great for emetophobia

I have emetophobia and this app is so helpful for me in between therapy sessions. Practicing exposures is one of those things that you don’t WANT to do, but need to in order to get better. This app makes them easily accessible and is a great tool. It’s almost as easy as scrolling Instagram, which makes it very practical! The first downside in my opinion is that it may as well be called “emetophobia app” because it doesn’t have many applicable exercises otherwise. The other downside is that the exposures tend to repeat themselves frequently. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, just repetitive when sometimes you need something different to give you that “jolt” into anxiety to make exposures effective.

The opportunity I’ve been manifesting.

I have emetophobia. It started small and has become something that is very hard to control and it dominates my daily life and every waking moment. Although the range of phobias and issues they provide is truly not large, I am so grateful that there is a way for me to access healing and help on my own terms using an effective and real method. I am so lucky to have stumbled across this app (thanks, Reddit) and am truly excited to start making real headway in my relationship with emetophobia.
