Description

John Deere Bale Mobile is an iPad application designed to provide customers with enhanced feedback and capabilities during and after the baling process with the L331 and L341 large square balers. This includes mapping capabilities to display geo-referenced parameter feedback and bale placement across a field. Data can be streamed live to the operator, pulled up later for reference, or used in aiding the retrieval of bales. The Bale Mobile app communicates with the machine through a WiFi network connection to the machine's Wireless Data Server (WDS). Please note that the app requires the dealer-installed bundle kit to function with your machine.

The Bale Mobile app can also wirelessly send data to the cloud using either a WiFi network with internet access or through the iPad's cellular network (if available). Syncing data to the cloud allows bale information to be shared across multiple iPads in the organization.

Baling data attributes that are painted on the field map in the Baling operation and saved for later reference in Field Review include:
• Wet Yield
• Dry Yield
• Moisture
• Wet Mass Flow
• Dry Mass Flow
• Vehicle Speed
• Preservative Rate Applied
• Machine Load
• Tension Panel Pressure

The following baling data attributes are also displayed in the Baling operation and are only available for reference in real-time:
• Bale Count
• Flake Count
• Feeder Fork Ratio
• Bale Length

After baling is complete, the Retrieval operation allows the operator to filter bales based on parameter ranges and sort bales to aid in optimizing pickup.

The operator can tap on the bale icon through the app to see the following information about the selected bale:
• Manual flag for Twine, Weed, and/or Water
• GPS Location
• Drop Date
• Drop Time
• Crop Type
• Bale Length
• Flake Count
• Average Moisture %
• Maximum Moisture %
• Minimum Moisture %
• Wet Weight
• Dry Weight
• Preservative Applied
• Total Preservative Applied
• Area Harvested

The Analytics operation allows an operator to review data that is collected for a field, including field summary statistics, bale statistics and locations, and parameter maps for fields either baled on the iPad or processed from a connection to the machine's WDS.

NOTE: Unless the iPad is connected to a WiFi network, data transfer between the iPad and the cloud may incur cellular network charges, for which the customer is responsible.

Recommended for use with iOS 12+.
