A must-have for medical patients

I work in the industry and this app not only taught me more about my medicine but has helped enhance my lifestyle all around. By logging your sessions, Jointly has you rate your sessions based on dosage, effectiveness, flavor, setting, time of day and more. There are options to further record lifestyle factors that may affect your results such as exercise, diet and hydration throughout the day. I've learned a lot about how such factors affect my experience and have begun to consider healthy choices throughout my day in order to improve my medical cannabis use. The Jointly team is also great about adding products that may not be in their database yet. Your results are private, but there are stats available to see how certain products work best for certain conditions based on other user's results. All medical patients looking for an educational and user-friendly app to record their sessions should download Jointly!

Awesome ever updating app AND team!

I really appreciate and enjoy this app as it’s letting me see how my consumption changes over time.
I would love to be able to view past reports and maybe even one day have some sort of dose tracker, as well since I really like this app and plan on using it for a long time.
The layout is pretty nice and the ability to find like products for your goals and needs that are nearby is a great feature as well! The team behind this app and the product manager are really kind as well and are on top of things from what I’ve seen which is awesome given I’m not really used to timely responses!

Overall a great app and something I would definitely recommend.

Very useful!

I downloaded this app recently to track my usage and experience. My favorite feature is the favorites section where you can keep a list of what products work best for me. Since there are so many different brands and varieties it’s tough to keep track of the ones I like. I have come across a couple different flower strains that were not listed, this app allows you to send in a request to add that product! They are very quick to respond and have gotten them listed very quickly! I am pleased with the customer service and quality of this app. I would recommend this to anyone who is a long time cannabis user or someone who may just be getting started.

Cannabis wellness help

I’ve been using weed apps since they’ve started. I’ve been a huge member of the cannabis community for years. We have never seen anything like jointly. It’s great! The fact that after time it analyses your data to help get you the best product. I love that depending on what I’m going through, I can search the exact products I need to help me with whatever I am going through. It’s helped my father with his back pain and my sister with her insomnia. Helped with my anxiety and get my focus back in life. Highly recommend this app!

Much work for improvement

The basic idea behind this app is awesome and I’m all for it: but so far the way it’s set up is not working for me. There are tons and tons of strains that are not available to write a report on: which is the whole point of the app. When you go to make a report it claims it will be accepted and up within 24 hours and that does not happen. I want to easily keep track of which strains I’m consuming so I have a good idea of what works for me. That isn’t possible when you’re unable to record information on a ton of strains that are unavailable in the system. They need to improve this, get a bigger database of items, or find a better way of getting stuff into the database because it currently isn’t working the way I expected it to.

UPDATE: This is fixed now! You can now add your own strains and products to your own private collection. Plus, our database of strains and products is now over 90,000 long - so we've got a lot more than we did last August. Thanks for the feedback!

Jointly

I just downloaded this app just a couple days ago, and I really like it! It’s super easy to use and honestly I didnt think tracking how much you smoke would matter to much but it helps out in so many other ways too! I wish that they had the dispensary’s that I live near on the app but other than that it’s great! It helps me keep track of how much i am smoking each day and it helps me see what each strand has done for me and what it helps with the best.

Room To Grow

Feb 11–I just started filling out reports on the app when I medicate, and enjoy the process of it. The questions at first didn’t make sense to me, but realized the app is taking as holistic of an approach as possible. After all, lots of variable are potentially changing the session’s impact and effects.

I’ve enjoyed some strains that aren’t on the app so I haven’t been able to make reports but the app lets you open your device’s e-mail app and generates a template to fill out in regards to adding different flower or products. The template could be better made, but it’s easy enough to fill out.

Will update my review regularly to reflect changes.

Disappointed

It’s a really good idea, but the database is seriously lacking. Almost none of my favorite brands and products are available (I live in Michigan), and there’s no option to add a custom product, you have to email the devs. While I’m glad that’s available, I don’t want to spend three hours emailing them a list of everything I use on a daily basis. It’s also impractical. I don’t know what the market is like anywhere else, but in MI they come up with new strains and randomly named concentrates *all the time*. If I can’t create my own custom product for my personal account the app is unfortunately useless to me.

Hello! Thanks for the feedback. Your comments are valid. Two encouraging things to say in response: 1) We've got a small team of people working to build our database of brands and products. We just started last year and we're up to about 1,500 brands and 40,000 products. We're proud of how far we've come with the database, but it's not helpful to you if your local products are not in there yet. We have work to do in Michigan. Illinois (my home state) is a top priority right now, too. 2) We are also working on designs for a feature that would enable users to create their own "brand" of products. Our intention is help legal home-growers compare their experience with their own products to store-bought products, which we think is pretty neat. The custom product feature is a bit of a design challenge because we need to make it easy to use, but to create a product and have it work in the analytics that our users use to optimize their consumption, we also need information on cannabinoid profiles, doses per piece/patch/dropper/pill, strains, terpenes, the correct product category to cause the unit-of-consumption to work properly, etc.. These are all things we set up internally when you email us via that add-a-product feature - and we always try to get any requested product added in 24 hours. Thanks again for the feedback!

I wish it worked

I was excited to find this app because it sounds like exactly what I have been looking for since I got my medical marijuana card. Unfortunately it’s super difficult to make a report using the app because it has such a limited amount of products. I don’t know any of the brands they do list, and all the brands available around me aren’t listed at all.
There’s no way to just write in a product instead of selecting something from their drop down menu, and when I tried to add a new product to the app the email function didn’t work.
So it’s a great idea but completely useless for me.
I’m disappointed and will be deleting this app from my phone.

Not enough products

Was super excited to try this app out to track my smoking habits. After downloading I immediately encountered issues when I couldn’t find a single product in your database that I use. I don’t have time to email you a description of what I use or wait weeks for it to be added to the catalog. It would be more convenient if you gave an option to log a report without having to pick a specific product. I mainly just wanted to track my usage, not have to enter in the exact strain or oil I’m consuming. Maybe this app works well for others but complete bust for me. Not worth the hassle. 😐

Hello. Thank you for the feedback. We have a small team working feverishly to add more brands and products every day. We're up to over 40,000 so far. But we understand it's not a great experience for you if the products you're using aren't in there. There is no external resource we can use to create such a database - which is why we are building our own. It's getting better every day. Plus, when a user requests a new product or brand be added, we always try to do it within 24 hours. You can even email us and tell us what dispensary you like to shop at and we can put the brands they sell in the front of the line for addition. As to why you need to select a specific product while tracking using Jointly - that's because the analytics that Jointly provides that will help you optimize your consumption are a function of the specific product being consumed, because of the unique characteristics of that product (cannabinoid profile, ingestion method, flavor, strain, etc.) When we add products to our database, we include that information and then users can use that information, in combination with their tracked experiences, to get better results.
