The versions here in the appstore differ like this:

JollysFastVNC Pro: unlimited hosts. Commercial use.
Added defaults setting localsshlaunchpath for overwriting the ssh path.
enablelocalcommandsoutsidevncwindow setting no longer experimental and on by default. Command key presses outside the VNC window are used to control JollysFastVNC now, not the remote side.

Valuable Addition to anyone needing VNC access
I’ve been using Jolly’s Fast VNC since long before it made the migration to the App store. In this time I have yet to be disapointed with any update or the performance of this application. If you need a VNC app for your mac with a polished and clean interface this is the application for you.
It’s window scaling feature to me is by far more intuative where you can see the entire screen but it moves with you allowing you to work without sacrificing screen realestate. The connection manager is simple and the defaults almost always work. But at the same time if you need more advance options like SSH you don’t need to jump through hoops to setup those commands.
The Cherry on the top. Speed, as the name sake suggests it’s a fast interface with a reliable connection. The options to change the compression modes are easy you can tailor the connection for what you need or what your enviroment is.
Allows me to use my old early 2008 imac as a second screen.
I use JollysFastVNC Pro on my old 2008 iMac as a way to share the screen from my macbook air. Using screen recycler on my macbook air, I wirelessly broadcast the screen through the VNC on the iMac. It is reasonably responsive, although sometimes I find that thumbnails on preview do not always broadcast through to the iMac. A very useful program.
Is 64-bit coming for Mojave support?
I previously used ChickenOfTheVNC … but switched to JollyFast VNC Pro as I found some servers were very fussy about connection protocols … and CotVNC didn’t work, whereas JollyFast worked great.
It is more customizable. One nuance I find, however… is that often a new VNC connection window will open with distorted aspet ratio and I have to zoom to fix it (not sure why windows often open in strange sizes).
BUT… I did get the Apple warning “This application is not optimized for your mac.” That’s the warning that it isn’t a 64-bit app and will be a problem if you upgrade since Apple is dropping support for 32-bit apps in future operating systems. “High Sierra” is the last OS where 32-bit can run trouble-free. “Mojave” doesn’t promise “trouble free” but *can* technically run 32-bit apps. What comes beyond Mojave … Apple promises … will not run 32-bit software at all.
I’m looking for an update for this as a 64-bit app.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
