Child behavior did a total 180!

I was a little reluctant to “gamify” our lives, especially because we limit tv and game time, but it’s a remarkable change so far. I have adhd and it’s pretty likely that one or both of my sons have it (ages 5 and 8), and with our younger one it was getting really frustrating with even basic stuff like getting dressed being a huge struggle. Since I introduced the game it is like night and day. He still falters every once in a while but it’s really improved his behavior and in turn our home lives. My older son who is usually pretty good with chores loves the game aspect (agree that they could keep developing that) and it has helped motivate him with more challenging tasks like practicing piano. I agree with another adhd parent who said it’s helpful for us because I don’t have to make up my whole system for chores, rewards, etc. I hope they come up with more games - I think academic games like word puzzles could be a fun option! Parents who are struggling with their kids getting into routines and structure should definitely check this app out!

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your kind words of support, Paswilli!! We are still a relatively new app, so it means a lot to hear and helps reassure us that we are on the right track :) I love your idea about word puzzles! Stay tuned for all the other exciting things that we are going to release in the app in the coming weeks!!

Oh and if you have any thoughts on how we can improve Joon, don't hesitate to email me at contact@joonapp.io with your ideas!!

Best,
Brad from the Joon Team

Thought it would get old, but I was wrong!

I was a little skeptical at first. Seemed too simple. The kids were excited but I totally expected it to wear off for them, but it hasn’t yet! I also love it because having ADHD myself, it’s easy, simple to use and I don’t have to come up with my own chore and rewards system. I can keep it as simple or an complex as I want to. So win for everyone all around.

The more they play, the more they unlock and the more fun they have. And it keeps getting better and better with the updates!

As a parent, I was hesitant to allow my kids even more screen time but this has proven to actually help them learn healthy screen time as well! It was an unexpected pro.

I’m with all the kids.

I lost my phone and it has been 5 days. I rarely get my phone plus I hate this game. ADD A STUPID CHAT TO THE PLAZA. If you make these adjustments then maybe I will rate this is 2,4,5. Anyways this game has the plaza to meet other players but all you do there is SLEEP! Seriously, I want to play with them but I can’t talk to them. This game is a snore party. You do activity’s but I WANNA PLAY ON MY DUMB PHONE!!! And I have to save 250 just to get 15 DUMB MINUTES ON MY PHONE. Plus there is only 2 games to play but it will rip my savings. I wanna build buildings and make friends and talk to people
But no. You only get flowers and more flowers. This game is the only game I get to play anytime I want. Children only play this game for the robux! THATS WHAT WE LIKE SUCKERS 😋!!! Besides…saving is overrated due to the feeding pets and getting stuff for your camp and your characters. Kids are stressed of all of this. I’m in the crowd: BRING BACK TO OLD JOON. My hope is done…IM SO DONE SAVING. Sorry I’m so toxic. The reason why I play this game is cause I got suspended due to scissors. That’s all.
