Description
Experience the speed, adrenaline and lance-shattering intensity of jousting. Test your mettle and push your reactions to the limit on your quest to vanquish rival knights of the realm and become the King’s Champion... a Joust Legend!
It’s 1472 and the King of France has issued a challenge to King Edward IV of England – a grand Tourney to showcase the finest warriors of these two proud nations. And so Edward announces the King’s Trials, a series of gruelling tournaments to find the finest knight in the kingdom!
Joust Legend is an authentic jousting experience created using motion capture from a real jousting session with the game’s Creative Director - and champion jouster – Jason Kingsley.
STUNNING MEDIEVAL COMBAT
Feel every shuddering hit with beautiful 3D graphics designed for Retina screens, bone-crunching slow motion replays and fully motion-captured horses and knights.
MASTER THE LANCE
Compete in practice tourneys, win special prize fights for extra rewards, earn gold from big-money wagers, learn new skills and progress through the King’s Trials to become Champion.
HONE YOUR TACTICS
Get the edge on your opponent. Pick crucial skill ‘buffers’ before each joust. Make split-second decisions that could swing combat. Do you play it safe or gamble it all on a precision hit?
SUIT UP
Use winnings to customise and upgrade every facet of your knight and horse, from helms and crests to lances, armour, and more. Experiment with different combinations and boosts to see which works best for each duel.

Ratings and Reviews
Great, but needs some tweaks
First, FIX THE BUY BUTTONS!!! If you do not have enough money to buy an item, the button is so greyed out you can barely see what the price actually is! Maybe it's my iPod 4, while it runs great, I can barely read most of the text. But the greyed buy buttons are almost impossible to read.
That said, it's pretty good! The core gameplay is timing, but it makes a lot of sense and is very enjoyable. One major gripe is that power ups are sometimes hard to come by, especially since the AI gets to use one on every turn. If you did that, you'd run out in no time. Maybe add power ups to the shop to by like all the other upgrades and equipment. That way you'll at least be able to use one when you want, instead of hoping to find one after a win.
Other than that, great game! And I don't call many games great!
Lack of content holds it back.
The game could be wayyy better than it is, but the severe lack of content limits it. There’s 3 options of armor with a minimal difference between the middle and higher tier variants. However the game can say that each armor piece has 12 options, since each one can be purchased in silver, black, gold, and red. The story takes about 30 minutes to run through, and then resets itself in a new game + style where you keep your gold and armor purchases. To buy a full set of red noble armor (the most expensive option) and a different horse with the red barding (again, the most expensive option) it took me an additional 30 minutes of prize jousts. There was no multiplayer game modes, and the computer becomes very easy to beat very quickly. The special ability cards you earn can be spent once at the beginning of the round, but as there are three rounds, and you only receive one or two normally after a joust, the computer does have a distinct advantage of always using a card during every single round. When I lose a joust, it’s normally because an enemy has used a card that has put them over the top while I had none available to use or none beneficial at the time. It feels like more luck than anything else. Since the app hasn’t been updated in a year, I’d assume that it will not be adding any additional content. This game would have been better made as a free game with ads, as opposed to $3.
4/5 Stars - Where's the logic!?!?
I think this is an amazing game with beautiful features and details. But there's one thing that bothers me; one word. Logic. Like seriously, you guys need to fix that. At the end of a joust, I don't think it's good to have your leg inside the horses saddle. Or your arm through your targe. And rarely, I spot my lance going through my shoulder when I fail/make a miss in a joust. Other than that, I think it was a great idea to make this game, and I would highly recommend it to other people. Just please, in the next update.... Fix the game so it's logical.
