I actually save money now???
I’m a #poorstruggling college student who enjoys brunch more than my budget allows and have literally never saved more than $10 in my life - but Joy has changed that! Turns out that buying certain things (ahem starbucks addiction) never make me feel quite as happy as brunch but I never would have known it unless my lovely money coach Ava told me! Now I can have overpriced mimosas instead of overpriced lattes. Fun. Also saving is fun and I have a little contest with myself to see if I save money each day- it works. I’ve never saved any money before this. Go me!
One thing I would like to see is maybe a necessities spends in addition to happy/sad (with a maximum for each month or something). I have to pay rent and buy meds, but that doesn’t mean it makes me happy 😭 other than that love the app get it

Go you, ajcl14! We're so happy you're loving Joy. We'll make sure to pass the praise on to Ava and add your necessities spends idea to our Joy vision board.
1 income, 2 spenders
I love the look & feel of the app! It’s super intuitive and easy to navigate upon first opening. The bot assigned to me was perfect for my personality, too. Where it breaks down for us, is we are a one income family (two young children) with two spenders - my husband and me. We were assigned different bots because we have different saving/spending personalities, but it looks like only one of us will be able to actually enjoy the benefits of saving within the app. This is unfortunate because saving seems to be the reward system and the whole reason for using the app. If we both turned on savings, it’s unclear as to how much it would be pulling from our bank account - would it double or does the system know it’s pulling money out twice? That seems irresponsible. I’d also love to be able to link to his account to see how our saving/spending bots/personalities could work optimally together to spend more responsibly and save more regularly. A mutual savings run between two or more spenders from a single account would be awesome.

Hey, Jeff Capps for President! Right now, it's only 1 checking account per Joy Savings, but a shared Joy Savings is a great idea! I, the humble Joy iTunes reviews responder, don’t know what it would take to implement that, but I’ll add it to the “Great Ideas to Make Happen” board.
If you’ve got more questions or more great ideas, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Jeff Capps 2020!
I have never written a review before but I have to for this app
OH MY GOODNESS. I got the link in my email that the app was available, and I had forgotten what it was. I must have signed up at some point on Instagram - I am 22, and work in FinTech, graphic design for a financial management software company. I recently got on a kick and downloaded all kinds of robe-advisor apps, money management apps, savings apps (Qapital, I use Mint, Betterment, Chloe, Wealthsimple) just trying to track my finances. THIS IS THE MOST FUN AND MOST FUNCTIONAL that i have come across. Its AMAZING. IT IS SO FUN. I know this is weird but I have had it for 30 mins and I just think they're doing everything right. I can't wait until this takes off, Joy really hit the nail on the head with how my generation wants to understand savings and budgeting.
