Description

FOR DESIGNERS WHO WERE BORN TO BUILD

Use Judo’s visual canvas to translate your design into production-ready SwiftUI™ without writing code. Preview different screen sizes, languages and dark mode—then integrate into your existing app, or create a new one from scratch.

- Design with real SwiftUI™ views like VStack, Spacer, Text and Image.
- Build multi-screen user flows with NavigationView, ScrollView, sheets and modals.
- Connect text and images to real data from any REST or GraphQL API.
- Preview on different screen sizes, landscape, dark mode, multiple languages and accessibility settings.
- Handoff production-ready SwiftUI™ or drag-and-drop your Judo file into a new or existing Xcode project.

Great platform for quickly building native experiences

Judo empowers me as a designer/developer to build native, in-app experiences in a fraction of the time. The Judo app is intuitive and easy to use, and allows me quickly advance from prototypes to production ready experiences.

Love it

Love this product. This is easily the closest thing I've seen from a design/build perspective. Bravo, guys.

Developer Response ,

Thanks Travis! What would you like to see next from Judo?

Barebones

Just gave this a shot. It's a cool concept but pretty clunky. Navigating the canvas in particular - missing patterns from Photoshop/Figma like holding space bar to get a "hand" tool to move the canvas around. Selecting items from the sidebar doesn't zoom to them. Feels like a 0.5 instead of 2.0 app.

Honestly I'd recommend Xcode previews over this for designers.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for this honest, frank feedback. We don't disagree with your assessment of the current canvas experience in Judo. The Judo 2.0 release marks our first step in a transition from a server-driven UI platform to a SwiftUI design tool and we have more releases coming in the following months that get us closer to that vision. You can read about our product vision on our blog: https://www.judo.app/blog/introducing-judo/.

To shed some light on our current roadmap, we're on the heels of a 3.0 release that brings support for form controls, state and bindings. Following that we have a major release that we're referring to internally as "A Figma-Like Experience". This release will bring huge improvements to the way the Judo canvas works that will make it feel much more natural to anyone with prior experience using Figma, Sketch or Photoshop.

I hope you will consider joining our community to follow our progress. We'd love the chance to win you back as we progress on Judo's vision throughout the rest of 2023. You can join the community here: https://community.judo.app/.
