Love the app but can always improve!

I absolutely love being a sitter on this app. It is one of the only babysitting apps that I feel I can trust nowadays with the different features built in. The only thing is that as a Columbus sitter there is a lot of area to cover. It would be amazing if I could set how far I want my sits to be from me to help filter them a bit. I keep getting ones that are up to 25 or 30 miles away, which is a bit much as a college student.

Love Juggle but a few bugs

I absolutely love Juggle and have met wonderful sitters through the app. The prices are very reasonable as well. My only issue is that I don’t consistently get notifications that I have new messages and sitters have told me the same thing. This can make it impossible to book someone. I’ve gotten responses days, weeks, even months after sending messages and that just doesn’t work for time critical situations. The local app manager has gone out of her way to help but I emailed tech support and didn’t get any assistance. They just said they didn’t know what was wrong. Also, applications for bookings expire so fast. I often get a reply and then want to discuss more details with the sitter and before I can do that, their application expires! Especially when they are not getting my messages - then I can’t possible finalize things within 24 hours. Again, love Juggle so much - sitters are great, payments are so easy - but these issues make it really hard to rely on Juggle for all of my sitting needs.

Best side gig for college students

Hiya!!! I absolutely love Juggle and have been a sitter through the app for 5 years. I have loved my experiences as a sitter and have met some pretty great families through my connections of using the app.
The founders and their support team are phenomenal with customer service on both ends (parents and sitter).
The only issue that I have is that the app is super buggy. Items don’t get added to my calendar properly (times are incorrect). The app sometimes just doesn’t open or like the past 2 days now, it opens with a blank screen :/. I never receive message notifications, I just have a habit of checking the app at least once every 2 days due to the frequency of my sits. I am very hesitant to recommend this service to other sitters simply because of the technical problems of the app. I hope that this comment reaches the team and can hopefully help influence some decisions on app upgrades.

Lack of transparency in pricing

I really wish juggle was more transparent in their pricing. The hourly fee they advertise includes a $2 per hour up charge that does not go to the sitter, but directly to juggle. So a parent may think they’re paying the sitter $16 per hour, when they’re really getting $14. There’s no reason for juggle to make more money for an 8hr sit versus a 4hr sit. It should just be a flat fee per booking (which they already do…)

They do note that the $2 per hour charge goes to “transaction fees, operations, software development, and support” which again, doesn’t make sense why that’s more money for a longer job vs a shorter one, and I only found this notated on the FAQ page. It’s not mentioned on the page listing rates for various locations.

Great college side job!

Being in college, having the ability to make extra money when you need to is great! What I absolutely love about Juggle is I get to update my schedule if when I want to work, and not when I have to work. Having this flexibility is amazing and is a serious life saver. Another great thing is the ability to apply to open jobs when I become free at last minute. Being able to read other sitters reviews is also amazing. I am able to get an idea of what kind of Home I am walking into based on what other sitters have said. Juggle definitely is keeping both the sitters and the family’s in mind at all times!

Great service, horrible app

Juggle as a service is fantastic. As a sitter, I love being able to learn about families before I apply for jobs, and I’m able to make a lot of money during jobs. However, the app really needs to be updated as there are several technical issues I’ve noticed. It’s very slow to run, and crashes every time I try to leave a review, causing me to have to write a short review and edit it later in order to save my writing. I wish there was an option on the calendar to list when you’re busy as well as when you’re available so that you don’t have to see the jobs that open up during your busy times.

Super flexible and easy to use!

I am a juggle sitter and I have never sat for a family i didn’t end up having a great time with. The app makes it so easy to get connected with families you otherwise would have never met! Payment through the app also eliminates the awkward end-of-sit wait while you’re standing at the door awkwardly accepting cash, you get to be paid directly to your bank account AND it allows for the family to give you a little extra if they feel you earned it. :-) Amazing app!

Overall the concept of the app is great and it’s an easy way to connect with new families looking for babysitting in the area. A lot of the families are really great and easy going however I did get a family that was quite the opposite and it almost ruined the whole experience for me. I also don’t like the fact that you can’t see the ratings and reviews families give you after a job. It just seems a bit unprofessional in my personal opinion but other than that my experience was decent.

Love the service Hate the app!

I don’t have any problems with the people, the app just is terrible. The update glitches all the time! It’s a lot more difficult to navigate and families have said the same thing. I don’t get notifications from when the family closes out the job. Have had so many technical difficulties confirming hours and have reached out to support multiple times. This is the 3rd time in 2 weeks I’ve had problems with the app. The only solution is to delete and redownload the app but it doesn’t fix the long term problem.

Recent Update

I’ve been using juggle for 3 years now and it was awesome! Everything I needed to see (time of booking, location, kids’ ages) were all in one place! After the recent update, I can’t see anything, it’s a mess! My calendar I had set up for 4 months in advance is gone, I have to redo the whole thing. I can’t see reviews anymore or the end time on bookings. The layout looks dated and not clean compared to what we had in the past. On my other device, when I go to log in using my facebook (my email never worked in the first place), I can’t even sign in! So frustrating! Please bring back the old app!
