Julian supports displaying 11 different types of dates including:

- CCSDS Julian Date
- CNES Julian Date
- Dublin Julian Date
- Julian Date
- Lilian Date
- Mars Sol Date
- Modified Julian Date
- Rata Die
- Reduced Julian Date
- Truncated Julian Date
- Unix Time

To make things more efficient, Julian provides a calendar to view dates of days throughout the year. Tapping on these copies the date to your clipboard for easy use in other applications.

To make viewing dates easier, Julian includes the ability to display the current date as the badge icon. Simply give the app permission to send notifications. *(Julian will not send notifications other than updating the badge number which does not produce a banner notification)

For Apple Watch users, Julian supports numerous watch face complications to show the date in ways that fit your style.

What’s New

Version 3.0.1

I've packed this update with awesome new features for iOS 12, watchOS 5, and more. It's truly a brand new experience.

I've simplified the look of Julian and introduced more features to it.

iPhone App

** Calendar **

Brand new to this update is a calendar view. Use it to view past and upcoming Julian dates. Selecting any day will update the Julian date view with more information about the selected date.

** Copy Dates **

Tap on any of the available dates to copy its value to your clipboard.

** Custom Dates **

Have a Julian date you want to know more info about? Tap on the Julian date display to enter a custom date. View how many days ago or how many days till any date. Perfect for expiration checking and more!

** More Dates **

Tapping the "Show More" button on the Julian date view displays 10 more types of Julian dates. No matter what kind of date you need, I've got you covered.

** Siri Shortcuts **

Loving iOS 12? Me too! I've added support for Siri shortcuts to say the current Julian date as well as shortcuts to copy any of the available dates. It's incredible what you can do with Shortcuts, we'd love to hear what you come up with using some of Julian's shortcuts.

Apple Watch App

** Date Entry **

You now have the ability to enter a Julian date to view more info about it.

** New Complications **

There are new watch complications on the block and we've got you covered. Enjoy Julian on your new watch :)

Thank you, everyone, for the feedback and support.

** 3.0.1 **
- change the graphic corner complication style to be better informative

Doesn’t Show “Days Ago” From Last Year

I really like the format of this app compared to the other one I’ve been using, especially because it tells you how many days ago/until from the current date. However, that function does not work correctly when you select any date from the previous year. It tells you how many days ago since January 1st, 2019, but if you select December 31st, 2018 it says that it is “306 days from now” instead of “59 days ago.” (The date today is February 28th, 2019.)

If this can be fixed I’ll give the app 5 stars.

Great app

The app is great the only issue I have and it seems like others are having is the app won’t update on my watch I have to touch the complication to get it to update. I have tried deleting and downloading the app again I even have a new watch and it does the same thing. Is there anything I can do to make it automatically update?

Thanks for the info and the update the app works great now.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for checking out Julian! Updating to version 2.3 includes a fix for the complication not updating. Please update and let me know if you are still experiencing this issue.

Ok. Could be better

The only thing that would make this a great app is if it would show the correct date on the watch. All I want from it is for it to show correctly when I turn my wrist. For some reason it doesn't automatically update unless I tap on it on my watch but then again it still doesn't show the correct date. But after I go back to the main screen, it shows the correct date. It's a small hassle and I know it could be better. Maybe it's a bug.
