Description

Meet Jumbline 2, the most addictive word game in the App Store. Scramble and twist your brain to make words from jumbled lines of letters. Simply rearrange the scrambled letters into words, and underline them with your finger to score points; find and underline the largest word and you advance to the next level.

Play in a relaxing un-timed mode, or put your skills up against the clock in timed rounds.

Jumbline 2 includes two additional games: Cloud Pop and Star Tower. In Cloud Pop, your goal is to pop as many clouds as possible, by spelling words out of the letters carried in each cloud. In Star Tower, your task is to build the tallest tower you can, before it sinks into the ground, by making and staking words out of an infinitely jumbled line of letters. The larger the word, the slower your tower sinks, so scramble and twist your brain to think big!

Jumbline 2 is ideal for fans of Scrabble, Words With Friends, TextTwist. Play with friends and family cooperatively, or fly solo.

Smooth, Simple UI and Challenging Game

Love the smooth interface and like learning new words (really like the ability to click on a word for its definition). Enjoy playing this with my wife. While I share some of the concerns that the game counts some sketchy letter combos as words (ism, for example), it's not enough to make me put the game down. Another minor concern: the game recognizes some monetary units (like lire) but not others (like ruble). Seems like it should take all of them.

Fun, but....

In most ways this is a great game and a lot of fun. It's my favorite on the go game, as a word fanatic. However there are several major flaws that mar the overall experience and have needed fixing for years. They keep me from giving 5 stars. First, I HATE that the developers have provided no way to keep track of your own highest scores. is a way to record your highest score. Personally, I'm not interested in what someone else high score is. I compete against myself. But there's no way to record your own personal highest scores. I really don't care what someone else scored on the game. I compete against myself. Secondly, there are a lot of words that their computer does not acknowledge that are real words (qat) and others that it does allow that are NOT real words (orcs, ism). Lastly, there is no bonus score for getting all words on the list. There should be!

What dictionary?

I enjoy the game as a way to pass the time and keep my brain active. I’ve also learned a few new words along the way. My main complaint is the selection of words. While roc, orc (mythical creatures) and lofter are recognized as actual words, other actual words are not, like ems, ens (typesetting measurements) and floret. There are other not included words that are found in the dictionary that might be offensive to some (not profanity. R*pe is one example), but I don’t know if including those would change the rating of the app or if Apple would not allow it in the store. The game does allow one to suggest words, but I don’t believe the app is updated that often, at least in regards to its vocabulary.

Developer Response ,

Hi AnimalRN- "Ens" "ems" and "floret" all appear in our "Expert Words" dictionary. It uses the official list of tournament words, which is more than 80,000 words! If you go to the main menu and select 'Classic' you'll see the option at the bottom of the next screen. Just start a new game to enable it :)
