Jumia took out pay on delivery option from my profile

It’s so sad that am being forced to pay before getting my deliveries, I have been patronizing this platform for a very long time without any issues until I noticed the pay on delivery was taken out of my options, I clicked to know why and was told I probably had a failed delivery at some point which I don’t remember having any except a delivery guy who said I should come and meet him somewhere different from the location I Input online which I refuse cos it’s far from my location, he sounded very rude and told me I’ll come and pick my package up myself when am ready, and if that was the case it’s so sad that jumia representatives never even called me to ask me questions before flagging my account... if this is the way you want to treat ur esteemed customers then I guess I wouldn’t be a part of that... thanks

Actually, this is not the only possibility for cash on delivery to be inactive.. this option can be inactive for some locations and items which are shipped from abroad (Jumia Global products). Good Service and Customer Care

Am reviewing both Jumia as a service & the App, I use the app on IOS devices and have no complaints, all my deliveries have always arrived, stuff I paid for that become out of stock before shipping,I get instant refunds, faulty products are collected -no questions asked, only once did I get a product that was different from what was advertised -a kids watch(girls), got a totally diff one from the advert pic,I simply gave it to a teenager. For now I am quite satisfied, and I am not someone easy to please.

Pay on delivery option

I love jumia, I've been shopping on jumia with ease and without problem but ever since the "pay on delivery" option was scrapped, it has become difficult to trust and patronize jumia because most times they don't deliver to ur location so we have to go to Jumia's office to collect our items after paying to deliver to ur doorstep and secondly, sometimes what u ordered is not what u get and these customers service now have the opportunity to be rude their esteemed customers... We can't afford to get insults on top our own money... #BringBack pay on delivery .. Thank you!

Hello, dear user ! On behalf of all Jumia teams, we apologize to you about any unpleasant experience or any inappropriate behavior from the customer care agents.
About cash on delivery option, it has not been removed, it is very much available, but inactive for some locations and items (namely Jumia Globals). In other words, it just depends on the item you're ordering and your location. Also, this option can be disabled if your cancellation rate became -relatively- high.
About the other remarks, please let us know from which country you're doing your shopping to transmit your feedback to the relevant department in your country.
