This is bleeding-edge tech, so there will be a few minor bugs (connectivity issues, etc.) but the developers have been quick to respond and fix the issues within days! You can tell they genuinely care about their product and customer. These dumbbells and app will get better over time, but they’re already amazing. So excited for what is in the development pipeline (custom workouts, etc.). Highly recommend. Keep lifting!

I’ve been really impressed with the AI-driven features of the Kabata system. The automatic weight adjustments are seamless, making workouts efficient and enjoyable. The overall build quality of the dumbbells is solid, and the smart technology enhances the training experience.A few areas for improvement: It would be great to have a way to favorite workouts and plan them within a built-in calendar. I’d also love to see a dedicated program section that offers structured training plans designed to be followed over a month or two, focusing on specific goals like muscle development or weight loss. While the existing HIIT, strength, and muscle-building sections are great, a structured program would provide more long-term guidance. That said, the upcoming section has been motivating enough to keep me engaged.Additionally, Apple Watch integration would be a fantastic addition, eliminating the need to manually start an Apple Workout.I did experience a minor issue where a weight plate slipped out when removing a dumbbell from the base. Fortunately, it was easily reset by placing it back in the base or reinserting the plate. While not a major issue, it’s something to keep an eye on.Overall, the Kabata system is innovative, well-designed, and highly effective. With a few refinements to the app, it has the potential to be truly top-tier. Looking forward to future updates!

I was a bit nervous investing in something that came to me through an Instagram ad. I’m so glad I took the risk! I’m 3 weeks into enjoying my dumbbells with the app and I have been more active because of it. The daily challenges keep me motivated to do a little something every day and having a program ready for me to do in 25 minutes, makes it very easy and gets rid of many excuses to get started.

I just got my Kabatas synced up and one of my favorite features already is personalizing each workout to my preferred weight. So that when I go to do their workouts, the base already knows what weight to switch them to automatically based on my settings. Excited to track this data and noting differences over time! There’s so much more and I’m just getting started.
