Been 4-5 months, I’ve only been accepted for 3 job assignments. I’ve tried different states, counties and never selected. Except for holidays, you would’ve thought people would be willing to work with someone if said someone was willing to work a holiday. Especially when half your staff called out. Good luck to whoever decide to download this and work for Kare. Just don’t quit your day job! I only gave them a 2 because a 1 star review is just mean.

First of all, how are you not qualified for the bonuses if you pick up a 3pm shift at now 5pm (because you’re just now seeing the alert)? My profile is out on hold while my background comes back, I understand that. But if you’re so concerned with me picking up shifts during a pending background, why is that you expect me to show up to the already booked shifts? That doesn’t make any sense. So you don’t want me to pick up for new shifts but you want me to show up for future shifts? What if I was a criminal? The rules and call out requirements are unrealistic. They want you to call off 48 hours before a shift starts? Umm what do you don’t pick that shift up until the day before or day of? My first shift I picked up, I did not receive pay until days later. Because I was left with no relief and the manager could care less because she was on vacation. How is that my fault and why am I left waiting to be paid because of these unprofessional facilities that overwork you and leave you with high patient ratios? I had an entire building of 80 people to myself and Kare could care less when I reported it. But let me had of walked off the assignment I would be facing abandonment charges. While I see facility managers leaving reviews. You’re the REASON these places are trash and horrible. All they care about is having a body and not the safety of the residents or they staff. Thank god for the hospitals, I’ve had such burnout deal with nursing homes that I’ve officially transitioned to the hospitals. I would use this app if I’m bored and it’s a off day. But I would not use this as a primary source of income.
This app is terrible and I’m here to tell you why. First off I’ve been working for this app for almost a year now and the hr is TERRIBLE they don’t care about they employees and suspend you for the dumbest reasons. I’ve been suspend on 3 different times. First time I had to wait in the ER for 7 plus hours with my fiancé because I had a eczema flare up but I don’t good skin. I gave care my credentials from my own doctor. On top of that I showed them active photos of me flaring up and they still denied me and suspended me. And they just suspended me this morning for calling off because first off I’m from Chicago Illinois and traffic get bad out here but this morning a event was going on and to get from Chicago to Naperville was an 1 and 30 minutes plus and I reached out to the facility and every thing they suspended me still and the facility I picked up for in the past and I was going to work this weekend for them, they canceled my remaining shifts and put me on the DNR list. DO NOT WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND DONT “KARE” ABOUT ANYONE, I’m going back to clipboard IMMEDIATELY!
So let me say this is my personal opinion and experience. So I worked a shift with the company and child felt sick , I submitted documentation and accidentally blurred out the date on my notice, this wasn’t my information it was my child’s information with other personal information on it. So my advisor talked to me about the situation due to having to call off ; I walked away from my phone missed the call and received a notification stating I was being let go. This was a minor error on my part. I was told to send In information with nothing missing such as the date. The reason I’m disappointed is because I wasn’t given a chance to fix the issue before termination and my minor child has COVID. I thought the health care professionals responsibility is not just the community we serve but to promote health and wellness as a general rule of thumb. I have the information necessary but I’m not sure I want to proceed given the immediate treatment over an accidental situation. Oh and because I called off for this issue my account was suspended.
I LOVE THIS APP ! Hiring process is lengthy & drags lol .. HOWEVER , it is not the app that is bad . It’s the nursing homes .. a lot of them (depending on where you live) are ran down & bad . Always short staffed (which is nothing new) . A lot of places will let you know if there’s Covid in the building , however I’ve worked at some that failed to mention it . They did provide PPE so it’s really not a biggie at all to me . Really the app itself I LOVE IT , working when I want to is always the best option for me. Especially with having 3 little ones . The pay is great to me , especially the bonuses . Who doesn’t love bonuses ?? Also going to different nursing homes , meeting new people is always good . If you like to work when YOU want . Then this is an app for you
Kare has fail me tremendously!!! I been work with Kare for about 8 months now i have three small children that attends daycare sometimes i have to call because either the daycare closing because somebody have covid or the kids simply can’t go because they are sick . Well Kare don’t even care about none of that !!! I only call of if their is an emergency and i also provide doctor documents for my children Kare didn’t care they suspended me one time i gotten a flat tire on my way to work had call triple A well guess what i provide documentation and Kare still suspended!!! Right now i have a fracture index finger and was in the hospital also i lost my phone i explained everything sent my discharge papers and doctor note with instructions how to care my finger they remove me from Kare platform all together i had 4 calls off and one no call no show only because i lost my phone and explained this they didn’t care !!!! but they suppose to be KARE rate them no stars if i could
