Karma for Safari 4+

Ok.. here are the good parts: Works pretty well.... 1. you can save things easily from many retailers
2. you can sort through it on your phone or computer based on retailer or wheter it's on sale.
3. Notifies you if something that you saved is on sale or low in stock.
4. Searches coupons you could use to make the price lower.

Here's the nitpicky things I don't like:
1. Doesn't work with all retailers.... for instance, Jerome's a sizable furniture store throughout Southern California.... I contacted them to add them to the service, and while they responded promptly saying they would do so, they haven't.
2. Coupons nearly always don't work.
3. When you delete an item on a desktop browser, it opens up a new window with the old window going to the site from which the item was deleted.
4. The side panel that pops up sometimes is a bit too aggressive... by that it means it shows up up too much and covers something you're tryign to look at... usually a checkout when you're trying to buy something.

Overall, I'm going to keep using this and would recommend others do too... hopefully as more people use it, it will become a bit more effective in terms of coupons and user friendliness.

Please, take into account that Shoptagr searches for available coupons and applies valid ones. Some coupons are used by retailers during flash sales and are available for a short period of time only. Also retailers have a limited number of usages for the coupons which means that other shoppers might have used this coupon code before you.

An extremely convenient extension/app. We often see this phrase passed around but this is truly just that - a ubiquitiously convenient app that isn't uneccessarily bothersome or complex. If you're a REAL shopper, when something really strikes your fancy, the picture of it stays in your mind. You toss and turn in your sleep thinking about that Margiela boot, that Marni sweater. Shoptagr helps you stay on top of deals you'd easily miss, and even puts in coupon codes automatically at chekout. It's not intrusive or complicated - but it'll be complicated to stop yourself from shooping after you add it to your browser.

I love lots of things about Karma, especially the notifications when things you've saved drop in price or are low in stock/back in stock. But the pop ups are so intrusive. I've followed the instructions to disable them in Safari's preferences, but it doesn't fix the problem. You still get huge pop ups from things like their KarmaGives program that keep coming back no matter how many times you close it. This app needs much more granular preferences so users can choose to hide the Karma button if they want and turn off or snooze notifications. Apps like Honey offer those capabilities so there is no reason Karma can't as well. Until then, I'm disabling the extension.
