Legendary Game

This game is absolutely amazing. The story can be a bit confusing but i believe it all gets tied together in a great way. It isn’t very funny but the parts that are mad me die laughing. The controls and gameplay are smooth. Honestly I find the first level a great tutorial and it really gives you all that you need to succeed. This game is stellar and I would love if yall made a game either as a sequal or prequel to this or another game entirely with similar game play. Hands down a 5/5 and one of my favorite games ever. Keep up the splendid work.

A Lot of Problems

There is no tutorial. You will have to do levels ten times or more just learning what is going to happen in the level (it is all trial and error). And some of the levels are long, which means getting to the end just to see ANOTHER new thing that kills you and that means starting all over (and you still have four new things left to kill you after that last one, fun times). And if there is a conversation, you have to do it every single time you run the level.

The controls, mainly the joystick, feel terrible. There is no way to change the sensitivity of it. Half the time I’m crouching when I don’t want to, or dropping down through levels when I don’t want to do so. Jumping from wall to wall feels so bad and janky that I generally just use the attack to climb the walls instead.

The Skip Rewind toggle seems to do nothing, as I still have to watch the level every time I complete one. Or does this do something else? Not sure, as documentation is abysmal in the game.

There is also letterboxing, and the graphics are again blurry (same as Hades).

Netflix used to be killing it. Their last few apps though have been really awful IMHO. I use Netflix mainly for their video streaming, so I guess these mostly-terrible games are just a bonus anyways (for me, at least).

Katana zero is a pretty good game!

Netflix is back again with another banger title to their library!
Katana zero’s combat is simple and easy to understand. Enemies in this game aren’t braindead, and actually fight back, putting your skills to the test!
The maps are basic, but it’s whatever, I don’t really pay attention to that anyways. The story is pretty confusing at first, but once you reach the end, the pieces start fitting in.
What i really don't like is the addition of “chronos”, or time stop. I completely avoided using it, because it just ruined the experience. Thankfully it can be turned off once you beat the game once.
I recommend you use a controller, because the mobile controls aren’t the best.
Obviously it isn’t a 5 star game, but its better than literally everything else on mobile, so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Hey! Thank you so much for your detailed review! We're thrilled that you're enjoying the combat and finding the enemies challenging. Your feedback is valuable and will guide others on how to play the game at its best. We're honored to be considered one of the best on mobile and hope you continue to enjoy the game!
