YOUR PREFERENCE FOR NEWS UPDATES
Readers told us that being able to choose how they read the news is a top priority.
A new menu at the top of the Home screen gives you more control over how you read the news in our app.
Choose "Top News" to read news stories curated by our local news team as the most important news of the day or choose "Most Recent" to read news stories published most recently.
24/7 LIVE STREAMING VIDEO
In the new "Watch" tab, our news is streaming any time you want to watch.
Whether it's our 24/7 streaming channel, or video on demand clips, you're in control over what you want to watch, and when you want to watch it.
DARK MODE
Making sure the app reflects your preference on how you use your device was also important to you, whether your device is in Light Mode or Dark Mode. Our new app honors that system preference and gives you the choice to use the app in Light Mode or Dark Mode.

23 ABC News alerts and the app
I love the ABC23 alerts coming to my phone, especially since I work in Bakersfield now. I live in the neighboring mountain community and as the crime rate up there is much slower and we are much safer, I worry working down here. ABC 23 gives me peace of mind with their alerts, as I can go right into my app and check it so I know where not to be. Thank you ABC 23!
Good app too have.
Like the title says “ Good app too have “ like the traffic notifications and how each one is constantly updated till it’s cleared up. However when letting the public know too take another route/way be more specific name a route/way some folks sure could use the extra heads up. The weather notification is good as well especially living up here on the mountain. I’ve had this app for a few years now and never had any problems. I don’t anticipate having any issues in the future. Other than the pop up adds.
Keeps me informed
I can check the app during the day and am up to date on current affairs. It is handy and informative. I can also check the weather and see if there is a storm and where it is going. Great convenience!
