KeyboardLocker is the best way to protect you keyboard, touchpad and mouse from unwanted input.

The app will help you watch movies, make video chats and not worry that a small child or a pet will accidentally type “sdfalkdsjglakalssd kgwnddas” on your keyboard. Or just clean the crumbs on the keyboard without turning it off.

Just switch to KeyboarLocker and the application will protect your Mac from unwanted input.

Doesn't work how I want it to

I downloaded this along with a remote on my phone so that I could use my laptop while my cat lays on it, but this application doesn't allow you to do anything on the computer even with a remote. You can click anything or minimize or maximize tabs and whats the point of this if I can't even turn it on with my screen full.

Good for nosy cats

I just got a kitten which is great except for his insinstance to lay on my keyboard while I'm doing schoolwork. He's almost deleted a couple things before, so I looked to download a keyboard lock.

This works well for my Zoom classes and when I'm doing homework or watching Netflix. When I see him coming or I am setting up a call I just click the App and - voila -everything's safe.

The functioning of this app is rather quirky and would benefit from better documentation.

Basically, when the app is in the foreground it ignores most keyboard input. System-level shortcuts still work, as well as ⌘Q to deactivate the app. Mouse clicks are also blocked upon launching the app.

It is still possible to switch apps using ⌘Tab or touch gestures. However, this should be avoided. Even after switching back to KeyboardLocker mouse clicks were still allowed through.

Another issue is that I was unable to get KeyboardLocker to work with secondary displays or desktops. It blocks input to the main desktop, but if the mouse travels to a second desktop then input will be sent again.

Overall, this app probably works for most use cases, but it is not as polished, intuitive, or well documented as it should be.
