Description

Use your Mac as a bluetooth keyboard, mouse and media remote. Works on MacOS versions from Mojave, does not work on MacOS Ventura.

KeyPad is a bluetooth keyboard, mouse and media remote. Use your Mac Keyboard to control your iPhone, TV, iPad, tablet, Apple TV, Android device, Mac, Raspberry Pi…

KeyPad is a Universal Control for all your devices.

Main features of KeyPad:

1. A free bluetooth keyboard for your Phone/iPhone/iPad/Tablet
2. A feature rich remote control and keyboard for the Apple TV.
3. Type using a keyboard instead of typing with your thumbs.
4. Type instead of using voice search with Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Siri…

Considering buying an iPad keyboard? Try KeyPad!

KeyPad works with all major brand devices that support a bluetooth keyboard, like Apple TV, iPhones, Android phones, iPads, Android tablets, Samsung TV, Sony TV’s, Raspberry Pi’s, Roku, FireTV, Nexus Player, eBooks…and more.

Keypad is free for one phone/tv/tablet. To use it with more than one device, or to use the Mouse feature requires In-App Purchase (for Multi-device).

KeyPad will work with your language keyboard layout. Just select the correct keyboard on the iPhone. Use Shift-Control and tap Space to see the keyboard available on your connected iPhone, iPad. If you select your country's keyboard layout, keys like "£" work correctly.

See our video on how to set up and use KeyPad. https://bluetooth-keyboard.com/setup/

Mouse support:

KeyPad emulates a combination keyboard and mouse. If you connect to an iPad you have full mouse and keyboard control. Just press Control + Option (reconfigurable).

Using the mouse with an iPhone requires that you go to Settings | Accessibility | Touch and enable assistive touch.

To connect KeyPad to your device:

1. Launch KeyPad preferences screen
2. Click “Launch Bluetooth Settings” on the Mac (Makes KeyPad discoverable)
3. Go to your device’s Bluetooth settings and connect to the Mac
4. Once the connection is complete the KeyPad window will pop up.

That's it; you're done! Anything you type in the KeyPad window will now go to your phone. Use a hotkey Command+Option+P (reconfigurable) to launch and hide KeyPad.

A better keyboard:

Connect to as many devices as you like (Phones, Tablets, TVs)
Not just a keyboard, a combination mouse, keyboard and media remote.
Function-Tab works like Command-Tab to switch applications on the iPad
Function-Space works like Command-Space to search on the iPad and iPhone.
Press and hold the command key to see more options on the iPad.
Automatically disconnect from your device when you switch away from the app.
See our power user features at: https://bluetooth-keyboard.com/power-user/

KeyPad is for you:

If you prefer to type with a keyboard instead of using your thumbs.
If you prefer that notifications from WhatsApp and Messages remain on the Phone.
If you don't want to see personal notifications on the Mac while doing a presentation.
If you do not want to carry around an extra keyboard and mouse for your iPad.
If you want to see how the iPad keyboard and mouse features work.
If you have ever wished you had just one more Bluetooth keyboard.
If you prefer to type instead of use voice on your Apple TV or Fire TV.
If you use a screen mirror software to record a phone screen and wish you could interact with the phone.

In-App Purchases:

KeyPad is free for a single device. There are no limitations in the app for one device.

To use it for more than one device, or use the mouse feature, please purchase the App through the in-App Purchases menu selection. Please verify that KeyPad works for all your devices before you purchase. The mouse feature is free for two days.

Even if you use it for only one device, do consider purchasing it anyway. You will help support further development.

Developer tools:

Use your mac keyboard to test the keyboard support for your iPhone, iPad, Android, TV or Apple TV app.

I need your help/suggestions to make KeyPad better. If it does not work for you please send me a note at our support webpage, or an email to tools@toolbunch.com.

Lifesaver

My corporate email account is provisioned on my company-provided Windows laptop and on my iPhone. Well, the laptop is currently borked and being serviced. That means I must use my iPhone for all corporate correspondence. Which is wonderful, but its tiny pop-up keyboard gets tiresome quickly.

And so I discovered KeyPad, and that solves my problem! I can create arbitrarily long emails on my iPhone using my personal Mac's fantastic keyboard.

There are other functionalities to this well-crafted little app as well, but this is what saved my sanity today. Works great on macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 and iOS 17.2.1, both of which are up-to-date at the time of this writing.

Works perfectly at a great price!

There are so many journaling apps on the iPhone, but typing on such a small keyboard for longer entries is excrutiating. This app allows me to use my ergonomic keyboard and makes longer-form writing a breeze!

I tried looking for apps to connect my phone online and the only apps that showed up looked terrible and were rather expensive, I'm so glad I did an additional search in the app store and found this! And with the paid version so cheap, you might as well just get it to support the dev.

Connecting to my phone was very easy, and it has no delay on typing input. Overall I definitely reccomend this app.

Nicely done

I frequently use my iPad next to my Mac. I've used another app of this type, but KeyPad is a better implementation. I paid for the Multi-Device upgrade so I can use my Mac keyboard to type on my iPad Pro or iPhone. The device-specific shortcuts and media keys are nice bonuses. And today I discovered KeyPad lets me use my Mac trackpad to control my iPad Pro via iOS 13 mouse support, not sure how I missed that before! I also appreciate that the developer expresses concerns about security and privacy; I stopped using the previous app because of a security concern I found. All in all, KeyPad is better than I expected and completely worth the In-App Purchase.

Glad you like it! Thank You!
