Description

With keyseq, you can use key-sequence style shortcuts (like VSCode, Emacs) to launch an app.

e.g. type control+space, then F to open Finder. (no need to hold control key)

In addition to launching an app, you can open links, send notifications, and run an AppleScript file.

A key sequence with more than one key is support.

e.g. Control-Space, W, A to open Apple's home page.

The leader key can be set in preferences.

PURCHASE

You can use keyseq for free.

A purchase window will pop up at most once a day after 10,000 trials (number of times to launch apps, open links, etc.).

After purchase you will have unlimited access to all current features, as well as the features that will be added in the following year.

This app is a hidden gem!

Congratulations on finding this app! It is a reall hidden gem.

Why this? Why this app over 100 other options that help me switch between apps faster? Why not just Alfred? Why not just Apple Spot Light? Why not even the ⌘ ↹?

Mental stress.

Everytime you have to hold two keys not only it puts pressure on your fingers but you have to memorize a rather complicated shortcut combo. You can never use a simple ⌘ T for example to switch to Terminal because that keyboard shortcut is used for many other use cases in other apps.

That is why the workflow in this App is simply amazing (something I used to have in Linux Stumpwm).

You can set the leader key to F9 for example.

Later when you press F9 now you are in the command mode. You do NOT need to hold F9. Just press it once... then think about where you want to go and then press the key for that app for example T to go to Terminal.

Depending on your own Keyseq configurations. Now you can press any key on your keyboard to switch to apps, open documents and many other awesome commands. Personally I just use it to switch to apps, super fast.

Okay one more thing that Keyseq solves is the switching to the last window problem in MacOS.

⌘ ↹ switches between Apps
⌘ ` switches between windows of the same app

But what if you just want to go to the last window you had open? You don't care if it was another app or the same app. Just the last window.

Well you can do that with this app, mine is mapped to F8. Just hit it once and I'm back to the previous window. You may say that there are other apps that do this, I have tried ALL of them and nothing works as good as keyseq.
