Hasn’t released quarantine relevant features
Kickit is similar to two apps that were active 5+ years ago — Down to Lunch and Yo — and I think similar to a feature in Snap that allows friends to know where you are and what you’re up to.
Of course, we all know where you are rn. At home! The app hasn’t really released any features to address this reality, like DM, video chat, etc. for life in the age of social distancing and shelter-in-place. Given large gathering restrictions in the U.S. will probably be in place until mid-2021, I hope the app developers think about these kinds of features!
FINALLY, it’s no longer a hassle to make plans!!
Ever wanted to expand your friend group but didn’t know how? What about wanted to hangout but didn’t want to go through the hassle of having to make plans: creating endless group chats for each group, finding an activity everyone wants to leave their house for, and sending the information 100 times in a row ?? This app literally eliminates all the hassle attached to hanging out and simply lets you enjoy your old friends, new friends and have a good time! I love it! can’t wait to have all my friends and their friends join!!

Picture this, Saturday night, you text the group chat and that’s right... chirp chirp... crickets. You know there is no way Carol is doing anything but making pizza rolls while cuddling with her three cats, but the silence in the group chat just makes it way too awkward. Afraid to explain herself poor Carol opts out and now it looks like you’ll do the same. Kickit solves that problem! Turns out there are lots of Carols out there just afraid to stand up and say something. No more tumbleweed group chat invites! Never spending a Saturday night alone again!
