Ratings and Reviews
Was it worth 2.99? Maybe. Would I play it again? Probably not.
“Kids” by Michael Frei is an absolutely brilliant piece of art, odd and insightful as it is. However, I do wish it had been kept it as an installation and short film. It’s harder to sit down and enjoy it on a phone, because there are so many distractions. Personally, I would rather go to a gallery to take it all in, where I can think about the piece in a intentional atmosphere. Experiencing this through an app makes me feel like I’ve squandered Michael Frei’s creativity by half-heartedly interpreting it through a 5-inch screen. Nonetheless, I will say that Frei’s decision to turn his piece into an app is respectfully avant-garde.
Overall, Kids by Michael Frei was very interesting as an app, but frustrating to take in. The piece itself was stellar. If I could go back in time, I would have set my phone on airplane mode and made sure there were no interruptions.
Everyone stop saying that this game was “too short” and not worth its price. i can agree with you that it’s not worth $3 but it literally says that the game is 15-30 minutes long. If you didn’t like the game because of how short it was you should have read the description first. other than that it was an alright game. i see where the creators were doing with this has potential and very unique. hopefully the creators update the game with a lot more things to do or make a kids 2.
Y’all need to reassess the value you place on things. My $3 here brought me more joy than the $3 I spend on random crap throughout life. If you’re leaving a 1-star review here you need to have a long hard sit-down with yourself. Your pathetic self. You joyless husk of festering mass. King of the buffoons. The 100th luftbaloon, deflated from sheer inability to contain joy. An abstraction of futility too insignificant to waste art upon. The raw and unadulterated mouth which bites the hand, gnaws upon sinew, eking our what little lifeblood remains in dedicated corpse. A housefly in search of a dung heap with which to copulate. The swill of the gnarliest ganglion protruding whereupon bleak empty horrid amass to circle above the heads of like buzzards and vultures seeking those old fleeting corpses.
