Great game, great customer support, one request

My husband and I have really been enjoying thins game. I've been playing American rules/no slops pool at actual tables since I was a kid and my husband has always played snooker. This has been really fun to do together, it's not quite the American rules I know which could mean they change by country? Either way, it's been a really enjoyable game and feels oddly close to actually playing pool. I also really enjoy that when playing against strangers there are no options to make be unsportsmanlike. The available comments and faces are all in good jest. My request would be to add a face that is just smiling. There is a laughing face and a face that wiggles its eyebrows which could both be construed as cocky comments, I would like to offer a friendly smile sometimes.
Lastly, my thumb accidentally opened my app yesterday and screwed up my account. My husband suggested I email them, I wasn't going to since customer service doesn't seem to be a thing anymore. They were GREAT! Just like the old days of customer service. They were friendly, kind, helpful and made sure I left a happy customer.

Good game play- needs social work

This is a beautifully simple game for pool that I thoroughly enjoy, but there are a few crucial things that are either missing or need some work. Starting off small, I think that practice mode should have a play against the computer option with an adjusted difficulty. Sometimes it’s a little hard to practice when you set up all of the scenarios. This would also make offline practice more fun, as you could get more out of it. During gameplay, I like that there are phrases we can send to the other player, but I feel as if there should be more, or perhaps a message bank that we can select in our settings. I also like the concept of being able to send my own messages, perhaps with a character limit. I often find that the phrases are not applicable in most games, or that I wish another option were available so I could communicate better with my opponent. Finally, I’d like to add a little selfish request. I don’t think that a loss should count against your win rate or skill level if your opponent wins in a single turn (starting from the break of course). It just seems a little unfair that a loss should count against you when you haven't even touched the screen. Additionally, I would love it if the stats for different cues were explained, as I still don’t quite know what all the symbols stand for. Overall I find the physics and graphics of the game both satisfying and accurate!

Fills time, but that’s about it...

The game is fun to play at times, but as others have mentioned, the pairing is awful. The developer has responded to others that there is a matching system in place and pairs you with similar skill levels, but either I must be that good or there is nobody online playing, and yes I’ve played at different times of the day. I get matched with top level players all the time, but continually sit at skill level 15, especially when trying to complete a three in a row or win X amount of games or winnings.
Game play isn’t too bad, if you don’t mind the cue ball deflecting off a clean pocket shot. Also, the cue ball does what it wants. Sometimes it drifts when it shouldn’t, sometimes you tap or light strike and it picks up speed and goes all over. I’ve hit the cue ball full power and it came to a faster stop than when I tapped it. The timer is a joke. Many times I’ve been playing and the player ran out of time, then went to waiting on player, then all of a sudden the player comes back and is able to take their shot. Also, what doesn’t make sense to me is how a player can have the lowest skill rank, 25, but have over 6,000 wins. The game needs an in game chat option, rather than the basic phrases or emojis. As mentioned in the title, the game fills time, but that’s about it.

Hey there, we're sorry to hear you're not having the best time. Regarding matchmaking, one thing we can do for you is show you the ranks of your last 10 o👍r even 20 opponents just to show that while the matchmaking is mostly within your range. Also note: even if you're a rank 20 or so and you match a rank 1, if you manage to win, it'll do wonders for your rank. And if you lose, the game won't treat it like a big deal because it recognizes the difference in rank. So if you view those matches against rank 1 players as a chance to show your stuff and get rewarded for it, it may be easier to accept!

Lastly, you can try playing around with the FPS, changing it from 60 to 45 or 30 to see if this takes care of the drift you mention. You can also email kingsofpool@uken.com with any more thoughts.

Thanks and please consider upgrading your star review to include more stars if you change your mind about the app! It means the world to our small team. 👍
