Subscription renews automatically unless canceled within 24 hours before the end of the subscription period ( Monthly/Yearly period ).
After your purchase is confirmed, your iTunes account will be used to bill your credit card. Within 24 hours before the current period expires, your iTunes account will be charged for renewal.

After making a purchase, manage subscriptions and disable auto-renewal in iTunes' Account Settings.
