I thought this app would be really bad but I started to read the book and really like it. Then I Finished the book and clicked on the next on and I had to bye it I was very upset. I am 12 and yet I still liked the book. What I think is you should have two or three books to read so people will be more tempted to bye it. I hope this gets read!

Good for introducing child to Chapter books

I am using this as an introduction to chapter books for my third grader. The story is well written and entertaining. My only problem with the author is that the children in the story are too well described from the color of their hair to their eyes. There is nothing left for the child to imagine.

I think children should use their imagination when reading about characters. Not all children have blond hair and blue eyes. Its not important to the story to tell us how tall the children are unless they are either giants or elves. The child should be allowed to "see" the characters in their own image. It is much easier for children to relate to other storybook children if they see them that way.

Every writer should know that readers like to imagine what the main character looks like unless its important to the story line to describe them. Everything else is info dumping and not needed.
