Faith restored back in Klipsch

I had the same issue as the other reviews—I tried to update my headphones and the left one updated fine, but the right one got to 100% and then said the update failed. After that it completely bricked the headphone and wouldn’t even turn on. I was pretty upset since I spent good money on these and have been a huge Klipsch fan all my life.

I called support and they were super friendly and helpful. Even though I was out of the warranty, they offered to replace my headphones anyways. The thing that I did NOT appreciate, was the customer service rep saying that I caused them to brick, when I followed the app’s directions to a T. Regardless, they sent me a brand new pair, they updated fine, and I can now adjust the EQ. They sound so much better now that I can adjust the EQ. Thank you Klipsch for making things right.

App is ok, it’s the product itself that is horrible

So, just bought a pair of Klipsch T5 True Wireless earbuds. I’m a big fan of Klipsch, my home theater speakers are all Klipsch. I had no issues with the app installing, or getting stuck on permissions page. The problem I had was whoever designed the BT pairing scheme and firmware update scheme should be fired. No joke, you are supposed to pair and unpair the earbuds 3 times (with multiple power on and off of both earbuds simultaneously AND independently of each other) while also going back and forth from the app to iPhone BT settings to tell the phone to forget the device (again multiple times) I managed to get the right earbud to update, but the left earbud failed and bricked. No power on, no reset, would not even charge in the case. When trying the recommended re-sync between the earbuds (both in the case, press button 5 times each) the left earbud was SO HARD TO PRESS THE BUTTON that it snapped the earbud in half!!! Honestly, this is the worst product I have ever purchased from a respectable company, and I own lots of Microsoft stuff!
Klipsch...you need to bite the bullet, admit these products and software for them are complete crap, delete all the apps, and start all over again. I still like Klipsch, but I’m shocked they would put there name on garbage like this.

A lot of potential

I’ve been using the app for the cinema 1200 connected through EARC to a Sony x90j for a couple weeks so far. I may have got a bad hdmi cable but after getting a proper one, changing tv settings (pass through to auto and enabling earc), it all worked. Regular hdmi also worked for initial setup.

The app helped setup without issue. The app occasionally goes out to lunch, but does usually work with most of the remote features. It has the fundamentals and has come a long way since the not so great online reviews a couple years ago. I appreciate the inclusion of dialog and bass adjustment from the app. I often misplace the remote and toggle those settings depending on the content. More apps should provide tv controls from your phone.

It could be better if they tighten up the responsiveness, add a check for updates, add some more eq options, and at matches at least all remote features such as surround adjustment, LED settings, etc. Also, there’s two different locations to adjust bass and they don’t seem to coincide. I have one at -6 and it works as expected but the other says -2 (redundant).

Can’t speak for the other products’ interface, but overall I’d say 7/10 and has a lot of potential. Please keep it coming!
