Knock and Apple Watch: a match made in heaven. Knock 2.0 makes unlocking your Mac faster and more secure than ever.

You keep your iPhone with you all the time. Now you can use it as a password. You never even have to open the app— just knock on your phone twice, even when it’s in your pocket, and you're in. And if you have an Apple Watch, you can unlock your Mac right from your wrist.

Using Knock won't drain your iPhone's battery, even if you use it all day every day. Knock securely communicates with your Mac using Bluetooth Low Energy, a new technology that draws very little power.

BEFORE PURCHASING KNOCK, PLEASE CHECK THAT YOUR MAC IS COMPATIBLE IN THE SCREENSHOT BELOW.

Doesnt work with my iPhone 6 Plus

When i purchased the app, i was using iphone 5, and it worked as perfect as advertisement. However, it was the old time, because after a long time using samsung phone, i changed to use iphone which is iphone 6 plus again. And it doesnt work any more!
It works only when i open the app, but it doesnt when i let the app run on under (even the screen is on or off). As a result, I think it doesnt automatic connect the iphone and macbook anymore, and if so, i dont think this is a creative app because its not convenient as what we wanted when we purchased.
I hope the developers of this app could fix those errors in the next version. Otherwise, no one would purchase this app anymore in the future.

Follow The Instructions… and It’s Great!

Like others here, I was apprehensive about buying this based on the reviews… but I read reviews that said.. “follow the instructions and you’ll have no problems”… and they were right. I have a 2012 Mac Mini, iPhone 6+, and Watch Sport, all running the latest software versions available as of this writing. It works PERFECTLY. Yes.. you have to wake your Mac up first if it’s asleep.. press a key, wiggle the mouse, smack the magic trackpad, whatever. Then I literally pick my phone up and knock on it twice like I’m knocking on a door.. without even waking the phone up. BUT- when I leave my phone in the other room and I’m wearing my Watch, I can just raise my wrist, swipe up to reveal the Knock Glance, tap, and it unlocks my Mac! It even shows the status of my Mac.. locked or unlocked. It may sound like a lot but it’s honestly twice as fast as typing in my password each time. AND I can LOCK my Mac while I’m ‘Netflix-ing and Chilling’ in the living room. Highly recommended. Excellent app.

Works Great, Developer Updates

I've been using this app to avoid typing in my long password and it's been great to me. After sending an email about some macOS Sierra glitches, the developer had an update in a few days fixing all the glitches.

It's true that 5% of the time, there will be some sort of disconnectivity between the app and computer, forcing you to type your password. Also if you leave your computer for a few days, it will take the bluetooth maybe 10 seconds to find your mac versus like 2 seconds if you had used your computer recently. These are not really avoidable for the developer so they do not annoy me at all.

If you really want some 100% smooth implementation of this feature, buy the $300 Apple Watch. If not, enjoy this highly functional app for $5.
