We bought an RV and travel across the country many years ago. My biggest fear was pulling into sketchy campgrounds. I always thought KOA was a joke. After traveling 6000 miles across the country and back, and pulling into some very frightening places for the night, we decided to pull into a KOA. I mean… Sweet Ben, who held before, what do we have to to lose. Not only what we surprised, but when we stay at K away, there is a very high level of quality. KOA has three different levels of campgrounds, and even the lowest level of campgrounds are way above the quality of other campgrounds. We live in Florida and go to Orlando. We were paying a crazy amount of money to stay on the Disney property. Something like $250 a night for a site! We stay at the local campground which is 5 to 10 minutes away from the Magic Kingdom, and as of the writing of this review, the campsite is about in the $50 range. The amenities are the same, the campgrounds are secure and clean, the people are so friendly it's our second home away from home. Now when we travel across the country, we're actually nervous if we DON'T have a KOA. The app is absolutely wonderful, we racked up tons of points and sometimes use them for our stays or banks them up when we go across the country and we can have several nights for free. If you've never used the app or KOA before… Give it a try I know you won't be disappointed and you'd probably very impressed.

This was mine and my husbands - second honeymoon, Big Bucket list, almost retired and have a lot of pto to burn first - trip. We traveled to several destinations all great- we wanted to camp as we LOVE our RV. However this trip had way too many stops and adventures to pull ours and still enjoy our planned activities. The big bucket item was our first Chicago CUBS game so never having been to Chicago I stressed about areas to stay etc and I found Chicago Northwest KOA had a fully equipped beautiful camper that we could rent for our stay! It was the best decision of the entire trip! We did have the best time and the Cubbies won!All this to say that we have been to many campgrounds and this was the first KOA and you can really tell that these guys care about this place to the tiny details such as flowers blooming in a window box on the windowsill of the cabins and the activities. Everyone was so friendly and I am grateful for these memories made!

I really like having access to all locations. We recently had our first stay at koa. All three were different from each other. Of course it depended on what state or whatever for environmental surroundings. All staff we came into contact with were wonderful, very friendly, nice, personable, professional, welcoming, informative, & nice. Always willing to help if needed but didn’t make us feel overwhelmed or watched. We have two larger medium sized dogs with us, and the k9 areas were nice. Fenced so we could take them off the lead and watch them play. Even when they barked here and there, no one complained and staff was friendly with them. I think there is some improvements to the app that should be made. But really, it was helpful, and made it nice to reserve our spots before we arrive. However we did encounter one koa that doesn’t take reservations after hours. We ended up staying in my uncles driveway the first night and then reserving our spot early the next day. But in the app, it doesn’t state that that particular koa was like that. Not a big deal, but would have helped when we made our journey in the first place because then we could have attempted to reserve earlier that day before arrival in that state. But it did not take away from our experience with that koa. All were excellent and all amenities advertised were available. All camp sites had a feeling of peace, quaintness, and made us feel welcome, safe and like we had our own space. Every staff member seemed like they were happy to be on the job that day and they were happy in general.

Great app- works seamlessly to showcase different locations and offers, while allowing you to compare pricing at multiple locations without having to change your details. Also allows you to save your favorite places so you can refer quickly back to them or share them with friends on the fly. Saves your past reservation info in case you need to refer back to a prior trip. Allows you to make a reservation in minutes- only improvement suggestion I would make would be to also be able to use secure pay apps (PayPal, Apple Pay, Venmo) to expedite checkout and ensure added safety during transactions, especially when traveling on the road. Gives you direct campground info so you aren’t struggling with after hours call centers or people that aren’t actually on site to help you. Really so good I had to write a review. Many thanks KOA
