Alaska's News Source - KTUU 12+

Honestly it’s not the best app but Alaska has been such a mess since Covid that I’m just happy we even have an app for our news source. So many people here don’t have the slightest idea of what’s even going on here. Better than nothing. I’m still giving a low rating because of the ridiculous ads. This is the first app I’ve ever downloaded that forces constant ads in your face, I’ve NEVER downloaded an app that forces this amount of ads either. Gross greed for Alaska’s primary news source, something ever other state doesn’t have to put up with

This app is an actual joke. With the entire world able to download and read/review what is published, the editor(s) should be ashamed! Unless of course preschool news education, format, grammatical errors and the continual inability to perform the most basic function of a “NEWS” app is your goal....... you hit it out of the park!
This is the first time I’ve rated an app low because I always remember the motto my parents instilled in me that “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” If I could give zero stars you would have been the first for me. Every time I try to use your app, a video won’t play, a hyperlink doesn’t work or there is something spelled wrong. I have actually emailed multiple times to multiple recipients to include the writer of each story and the editors of said department of writers etc. In one article alone, I wasn’t through the second paragraph and had encountered 3 errors. I wanted to pull my hair out!! To think that this company swooped in and purchased the old channel 11, KTVA which was the CBS affiliate in Anchorage (not sure if all of AK) and turns around and spits out Channel 5 in its place but smooshed one the best news apps right into the trash. The Great Replacement: Now we have the same preschool type stuff presented all wrapped up in the sadness they call KTUU/KYES. I hope they hire some experts to help them get out of the hole they have put them selves into.

Gray Television Stations bought out KTVA channel 11 in Anchorage Alaska. KTVA had a fantastic app that allowed us to stream their professional news reports flawlessly.
We were able to watch in our community of Seward, Alaska.
Now we can only watch KTUU Chanel 2 in Anchorage which is somewhat boring.
KTVA had a great news team including Melissa Frey reporting the Alaska weather with great expertise! Megan Mazuric was the best news journalist in Alaska.

KTVA news & weather were transformed to KYES channel 5 in Anchorage & now we can no longer stream KYES in Seward.

KTUU CHANNEL 2 is our only streaming option and it freezes constantly & we end up missing the news & weather reports altogether.

Please create an app specifically for KYES Channel 5 (which is a CBS network). We pay for CBS live streaming every month but somehow Gray Television has disabled our ability to live stream CBS although we pay for it.

Thanks for blocking our ability to watch the news. Sure hope there is not an emergency in Seward, Alaska and we are left in the dark.
