Kum & Go 12+

Only feature I liked is gone, INDEED!!

While I’d rather not to quote “Jdiase” however, I do have to 100% agree!!

since the literal only reason I went to
Kum & Go had been eliminated, you
did lose one lol.”
I personally however would rather not be a lost customer as a result…
I’ve also spoken with many Kum & Go employees-attendants-customers of which have informed me of nonstop concerns of just this exact same inconvenience at a convenient store… please bring this feature back for both customers and business alike..

Regression in Tech & Rewards - Deleted!

Maverick purchased Kum and Go and brought the K&G app in line with the Maverick app. Alas, this is a regression in technology. Payment through the app has been removed, and I’ve noticed tap to pay at the pump is gone. Enter phone number. Insert card. What is this, 2015 at Speedway? Rewards now no longer apply to gas- so if you want to buy gas station food or soda, it still works. As I don’t do that, it’s lost its usefulness. Shell has progressive discounts and that beats K&G’s new two cents off. That said, I only need to enter my phone number for the discount- why bother with an app? Any way you slice it, this is a step backwards. Marketing can spin it however they want, but it is a technological regression. My guess is this saves a decent amount of money for the company, and let’s face it, most people won’t care. So while I was pretty excited two new K&Gs nearby because of the K&G, the loss in technology means it’s just another gas station with ho hum rewards. App deleted. I’ll stop at K&G if convenient, but it’s no longer a priority choice as it was with the old app tech and rewards.

Bring back pay at pump via app

I wholeheartedly agree with Bloodyashes review. Literally the only thing that had me stopping at Kum & Go for fuel was the ability to pay and activate the pump from while I sit in my truck (cold weather!)

1000% agree that the new app and rewards program is a complete regression of anything and everything I valued with Kum & Go. At the end of the day, middle managers win a cost savings battle, but progress towards a loss of the war for the wallet of the people. What a terrible step backwards. Ultimately the developer response to these detractors is simply just a ultra-soft peddled heartless mealy-mouthed boilerplate PR schmutz.

I’m sure they will understand that the majority of their patrons use them because it’s on their way home or it’s just a familiar station they’ve always stopped at, but for me this is a major dealbreaker and I won’t be going back to Kum & Go anytime soon. I like Maverick, and I thought the purchase meant good things for Kum & Go, but it ultimately was just Maverick removing anything that differentiated two. Add to that I had almost 70,000 points vaporized in the transition and only limited responses from support that never solve the problem.

No doubt this is more about Maverick steamrolling what was good about Kum&Go than Kum&Go peeps screwing the pooch. Whatever, I’m cutting my losses and deleting the app. Sad day but good bye Kum&Go, it was great while it lasted.
