The KUOW App:

The KUOW App allows you to listen to KUOW, pause and rewind the live audio, and view the program schedule for KUOW FM. You can listen to KUOW and NPR Podcasts whenever you want, and send messages to the station.

Live Streaming
• DVR-like controls (pause, rewind, and fast forward within a few seconds). Pause the live stream to have a conversation and pick up right where you left off or rewind to catch a comment you just missed!
• Listen to KUOW even while traveling! No need to rely on a radio signal with this digital stream.
• Integrated program schedules for KUOW streams.
• One click stream switching — flip over to the program you noticed on another stream with a single tap.

Podcasts
• Easy access to KUOW's past programs.
• Full description and links to the KUOW webpage versions of each story or episode.
• DVR-like controls. Pause, rewind and fast forward your program with ease.
• When listening to programs, individual stories or episodes (when available) are listed so you can review and choose one or listen to the entire program.

Additional features
• Share stories and programs with family and friends via the “Share” button.
• Built-in Sleep Timer and Alarm Clock allow you to go to sleep and wake up to your favorite station.

Appreciate my local NPR programs 🙏

My go to resource for audio news and I am generally always pleased with the schedule. Diverse with both creative features and programs to complement the daily news cycle. Investigative journalism is very much appreciated for context and deeper understanding. People and their global stories enrich my connection to many parts of the world beyond my backyard.

New user, KJZZ listener from Phoenix. Thumbnails are a bit distracting, I just want to listen live on iPhone. Occasional drop and need to restart. But I value your reporting.

Aug ‘24 much improved. Have nothing to add in the short time I used it.

New app is buggy

Love KUOW but this app needs some fixes. The layout is great, but the performance is poor. It frequently freezes up and requires restarting, which means I miss the news while I listen to ads. And the audio stream frequently jumps back five or 10 seconds and replay the same thing I just heard. Looking forward to performance updates!
