Nice looking recipes with neat features!

Really awesome app, I love the variety of recipes and the ability to adjust for skill level and type of ingredients/cuisine.

I would love the ability to save notes about the recipes (for instance, the eggplant curry I just made was much too heavy on the red pepper, to the point where all the other spices were overwhelmed, so it would be great if I could note that to myself in the future to reduce that ingredient.) I know it also came up on Reddit, but the ability to share the grocery lists and to add personal items would replace my need for a separate app. Not sure if that would be possible with the way the lists are populated, but it would be cool!

Keep up the good work, it’s looking great. (This is the first review I’ve ever written but I was so stoked to find this that I had to comment and show my support!)

Wow thank you so much for this incredible first review! You made my day!

I like the idea of being able to keep notes for yourself - I’ll add it to the list of future improvements. Thanks!
It’s great that you also expressed your interest in the ability to share / add to grocery lists. I think it’s a smart idea; I should be able to build it this summer :)

I really appreciate you taking the time to write this neat review, it helps a lot! Excited to bring these new features soon!

Have a great weekend,

Easy and healthy sustainable recipes

Great recipe app for healthy, seasonal recipes. Also like the filter to find recipes with number of ingredients. The In Season now feature based on your location is a cool feature.
Grocery list makes planning shopping easier too.

Cool idea

This is a really neat idea for an app. I love the idea of seasonal cooking, and the interface is quite nice. Only thing I’d say is it’s out of touch. This could really gain momentum if the recipes were more down to earth and realistic. There wasn’t a single thing on there I would think to make, and 95% I’ve never even had before. That might be my fault for eating like a standard Texan every day. But if you want to make it big, show us how to use and substitute sustainable ingredients in familiar recipes and spice up things that we already cook too. And maybe tamp down on the duck recommendations—no one I know buys that. Overall though incredible concept

Developer Response ,

Hi CadenYoung,

Thank you so much for writing a review! Your comment is super helpful: recipes indeed are quite original, I'd say. It takes inspiration in French (Chef is French!), Italian, Asian cuisines, and may not suit everyone. It's something we're aware of, and we'll try to add more "down to earth" recipes in the near future.

I hope you'll get to try new stuff still. If I may recommend one dip: try the "Al Aswad" (search by recipe name). It's very simple: eggplant, peanut butter, garlic and lime, and it's fantastic on bread!

Thanks again for the kind words and the honest review - I appreciate it and I'll make sure we bring more recipes you're susceptible to cook.
