Description

Another cigarette tumbles into the abyss. The sun is slowly coming up, glistening in the sea of buildings below.
I look up at the stars one last time before they disappear. They don't provide any guidance. They don't give a...
I have to make this decision on my own, and very soon. Problem is, I don't know how. I've never been able to figure out why I do what I do. Not really.

No more time to think. I have to go.

Here's the deal
You are Neil Conrad, CDI agent. Awoken by the news of a murder, you rush into a case that will soon turn your life and the whole solar system upside down. Ask questions, collect evidence, and put the pieces together until the ugly truth reveals itself... or not.

No takebacks
The story branches and ends based on your actions. There's no going back. Sure, you can rush your way to the end – if you don't mind paying the price. Play your cards right, and you might make it out alive.

How far will you go?
Some questions don't have a right answer. Will you sell out a friend to protect your family? Will you endanger a loved one in exchange for public safety? Will you keep the peace or reveal the horrible, world-shattering truth?

Hungry for Point & Click Adventure?
While the classics were great in their time, Lacuna does away with the baggage of many adventure game tropes:

- Non-repeating conversations and choices
- Immersive, story-driven mysteries
- Optional outlines on anything interactable
- Story can always be driven forward
- Real choices and multiple endings

Editors’ Notes

The looming threat of an interplanetary war keeps investigations tense in this pixel-art detective tale.

Cool game, plagued by bugs

This game is really well done and I’ve enjoyed it so far. Unfortunately it verges on unplayable with the amount it freezes. This honestly wouldn’t be a huge deal except that you can’t save so you lose some of your progress when it freezes. It’s frustrating to have to go back and repeat the same scenes. Most freezes happen after using the “investigate” button so that’s clearly an issue. Only buy this if you’re willing to play scenes over again.

Great game, no issues for me

I haven’t finished it yet, but I felt compelled to write a review upon seeing another reviewer give this incredible game just one star because they’re having some technical issue.. I would hope that when people have these types of issues they attempt to resolve them with the developer first.

I have had no issues with the game at all, I’m playing on an older iPad Pro. The story is captivating and engaging and I had trouble putting it down to go to sleep. I love the old school graphics, and the main character narration. I’m excited to continue playing and see where the story goes! I highly recommend this game if you enjoy a thrilling adventure.
