Good first start

The app is a good first start, but a little late coming since it is 2023 I would expect more. You can find your police district, but you have to go to the clunky LCG ESRI mapping tool to look up your address to find the district, from there you can then use the directory to find the appropriate PHONE number. I assume email addresses are not assigned to officers or no one in the department checks email because there doesn’t seem to be any published. If concerned about publishing actual email addresses, publish web/mobile forms which send messages to their emails.

This would give you a measure of success. You would know how many form submissions you have and could even followup for accountably. Phone calls, well those are easy to get lost and you don’t know that they came from the mobile app.

Also, on the iPhone Pro Max the header photo are stretched. This may seem minor, but they are repressing the officers of LPD. It’s just in poor form. It’s not a small stretch.

Lastly, a critical item which should be included on the mapping should be 1) Crime statistics for an area. We should be able to see where crimes are reported across the city. 2) sex offender locations 3) real time accidents

The above would make the esri map actually useful. I know all of this information exists and has been released in bits and pieces over the years.

I look forward to seeing future releases so I can update my review.
