Lansinoh Baby App 17+

I’ve been using the Lansinoh Smartpump 3.0 Double Electric Breast Pump for about three weeks now, and I’m very pleased with the overall pump system. I was particularly excited about the accompanying Baby App because I love efficiency and tech. On the plus side, the app has a clean, modern design, is easy to navigate, and includes helpful built-in tutorials and resources. However, there are significant challenges in using it. So far, I’ve only been able to use the Baby App ONCE because of the pump’s unreliable Bluetooth connection. It frequently disconnects, and even when it appears connected, the app still prompts me to reconnect. In short, the Bluetooth connectivity is very poor!

Additionally, I’ve noticed several “total duration” times listed in the app’s “review” tab that predate my ownership of the pump, which is quite odd and confusing.

Overall, the app has great potential, so I hope Lansinoh addresses these issues soon.

This app has TOO MANY ISSUES! When you initially set the pump up, it does not recognize the login information. I force close the app and bring it back up and then it brings me into the app but it does not show my information. It does not allow me to edit so I can put in my information. Pairing with Bluetooth was also an issue. Once paired, I loved how it logged my pumping session. It allows you to input how much you pump from each breast which is great, HOWEVER, I cannot add additional pumping sessions. I cannot add how much water I drink for the day. EACH TIME that I go to pump, which is every 3 hours, the app does not pick up the Bluetooth pairing. After MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS of trying to connect for another pumping session for tracking, I have to uninstall the app each time and repair the device to Bluetooth and it still will not recognize my login information. This is ABSOLUTELY frustrating! This is a lot to have to do for each pumping session. If you offer the app, it should be seamless and easy to use. Having a baby and breastfeeding/pumping in postpartum is hard enough and this pump and app do not make it easy AT ALL. The only reason I have this pump is because my insurance company recommended it and paid for it. If this is not corrected ASAP, then I will have to buy another pump and just eat the cost and pay out of pocket which would be an unnecessary expense.

Every other time I go to pump, it tells me it can’t find a device to pair to. I try to repair and it tells me to press the power button to pair but then won’t connect because it can’t find my device. Then after pumping all day, it’ll spam me with notifications telling me the connection to pump was lost.
Then next thing you know, it tells me I have records to sync. I’m up to 60 now. I have to keep logging them as a non-smart pump and when they finally pop up to sync, the times are wrong. I’ll pump at 5:15 and for 25 mins however in the records to sync it will show a record for 3:46 and 5:02. They’ll say I pumped for 13 mins or 31. It’s never correct. I could have saved $50 because this pump is anything but smart.
When I reached out to customer service, they told me to do exactly what the app says. Like I didn’t try that 100 times first.
The battery is also constantly on the Fritz. I’ll charge it for 2 hours and I’ll go to use it and it’ll go from 4 bars to 3 bars to 2 bars within 15 mins. Then the next time I go to use it, it’ll show 4 again. I’ll charge it and go to turn it on and now it’s a 2 bars. Overall, this pump is just a pain. I got the tommee tippee one instead (for a third of the price) and it had the same features with none of the set backs.. The pump did work though for what it’s worth.
