Playful app with some thoughtful touches
This app is colorful and easily keeps my daughter interested for at least a few minutes. The level 1 "game" can be a bit overwhelming at times, however, as it seems to react to even the most subtle movements. As an adult I found myself having a hard time at first figuring out what the characters/shapes were reacting to, but I trust that Fisher Price has done their homework and know better than I what babies and toddlers best react to.
I really appreciated the lack of banner ads and other UI elements that other free "baby" apps often have. This means it's (almost) impossible for your child to exit the app by using the touchscreen (they can still pull down the notification slider or tap incoming alerts). I would have liked an option to disable the home button completely as my daughter quickly learned that what pops up after she pushes it is much more forbidden (and therefore much more interesting) than the app itself. However, I understand that a.) that would make it very difficult for anyone to get out of the app and b.) disabling the home button is probably something apple doesn't allow app developers to do.
Overall, I recommend this app and haven't come across any sound issues yet, running on an iPhone 4 with ios 5.1.1
My daughter thought this was fun for a few captivating moments. Nothing insane, nothing terrible. Certainly enough to keep the app. The part that made this a ‘no’ for me is trying to exit. You are forced to pull up an ad & click on it taking you to a web page where you then can force everything closed. Sometimes it glitches & your stuck. This is on an iPhone X btw.
My 17 month old boy LOVES these Fisher Price apps!! The other toddler apps are too advanced for him since this is his first experience with apps. Must have for a flight to keep baby quiet and entertained.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
