Suddenly crashes frequently. Other than that, it’s great.
Awful…not designed for iPad. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT.
This guitar has potential but the app is terrible. I bought a me3 but its features don’t work without the app…at all. Too, it took me multiple install/delete reinstall/delete attempts before the app worked/would synced. Try finding a link for customer support on Lava’s website…none there. I did a google search to find it and once I did and them emailing the company multiple times asking for help insofar as syncing the app and guitar, they never responded…ever. Terrible customer service…more like nonexistent.. There is no North America support of any kind.
I spent $1000 on a guitar and can’t use ANY of the guitar’s electronics/it’s advertised features without first registering (give personal data - where you live etc) with a non-responsive company in China…why? I just selected Afghanistan cuz it should be up to me to divulge personal data.

One Less Star
I don’t know how many others have noticed; but I have. All of the reviews and updates that I have posted since receiving my Lava Genie have wiped off the map! People have complained about the app not running in native iPad mode for three years and 9t still doesn’t. I personally do not like using it with my iPhone … too small, too busy, odd UI, terrible UX and no offense; but, I don’t like the community feature at all … save it for a social network.
24 March 2025: Dropping my rating to one star. Still no auto update of all presets at once and still no true iPadOS facing UI/UX. This is not a sampling guitar (Lava Genie). All it does is import predefined presets that you cannot make yourself and import.
