Lawn Buddy Management Software 4+

The app is fantastic for our lawn care business. However, with the more customers we gain it becomes more tedious. For a suggestion: if a customer is set to have their yard cut every 10 days, there should be a way to set that without having to enter everything 3 different times for one customer. It should be set up like a calendar where you can choose to repeat weekly, biweekly, 10 days, monthly, and so on.

I’ve used lawn buddy as a business for a year now. First, the customer service has been outstanding from the get-go. They have been quick to listen and to resolve any issues that I’ve had. I love how they listen to my ideas and implement them in the software at times. What really stands out, is how the employees, James, Nick, Frances, and others, have taken the time to ask me about my business and my life. They care about how I’m doing and how they can help me succeed. The cost is very fair and inexpensive compared to a lot of other software programs. The app and the pc version integrate well and are very user friendly. Overall, LB has helped me save time and streamline my business. I’ve recommended them to several other business owners and will continue to do so.

The app lets you bid your standard prices based on the yard size ONLY, but there are so many variables it won’t account for. Example: if your base price for a half acre lawn service is $50, you may win the bid, but the property could be totally neglected and grass could be 2 feet tall, requiring triple the effort and labor - worth something closer to $150 or more. However, with this app there is no mechanism to get extra pay for the extra work.

The app is at best an OK way at best to get connected with new customers, but my experience was you’ll find a lot more people trying to get you to mow down overgrown yards on the cheap once-only, rather than repeat weekly business. There’s no way to know the condition of the property until you commit to the job and show up to see the property (you aren’t given the complete address until you commit to doing the job). Service providers are definitely at the disadvantage here compared to the customer.
