I have 4 books. The app found them right away after signing in. Two progressed passed the Downloading spinner and gave a Processing indicator that I think went by page. The other two were stuck on the Downloading spinner. I never saw them finish. You do realize that most people expect to swipe to turn a page, right? I was swiping all over the place and figured the app was frozen. I touched the edge of the app and got a page turning animation. You can’t swipe. You have to touch the edges of the page. It doesn’t seem natural. The books I could read have links in them. That’s cool, you can see more context to a quote or something. But most of the links got a page with “Error establishing a database connection”. One went to Wikipedia, one to PragmaticProgrammers, but most failed. Have no idea if this is Leanpub’s issue or the author of the book. Also, are we viewing the PDF version? There are no tools to change the font size, or background color. There is a table of contents and page indicators. You have to swipe down to see them. I kept trying to tap the middle and the page would turn.

I am able to read my purchased books without problems.

So far so good. But only the very basics at this point. Dark mode and font face, size... would be nice to have next. Also push notification and auto update of books.

Was enjoying the app until I tried updating a book. It crashes every time. If I ignore the update and try reading the unfinished book, no text is displayed. As if it is trying to download but hangs.Now I'm not able to login. I've deleted and reinstalled the app. Still no joy.

I was hoping to give this app a good review since I just published a book on Leanpub (and it costs $100 to do so), but when I used the app to download my book (epub format) it seems to be stuck in "Processing". For hours. On both my iPhone and iPad Pro running the latest iOS. I see the app hasn't been updated in over a year, so that's not a good sign.

Just downloaded on a XS Max, logged in, saw my books and tried to download one. It was stuck on downloading for several minutes with no way to exit, so I forced closed the app and restarted. Needed to log back in again, and every time I close the app and relaunch I have to relog back in.
