Learn Prayer by Salat Pro 4+

As an adult convert whose primary language is English, I really appreciate how I can go step, by step with what is said written out, as well as English translation.
My favorite function is the ability to either have a full video play the prayer as you follow along or you can play audio of each section. I think this helps with learning the pronunciation and later I am able to read along with the written words.

Also, since there is video and text, can be used by either persons with visual or hearing impairments.

I like the look and ease of use and there are explanations of each prayer and the sunnah options as well. Plus they have special prayers for holidays.

Overall, highly recommend for someone needing to learn their Islamic prayers or getting back into practice.

This was absolutely one of my favorite apps before the recent update. It was perfect for me as a revert to have the spoken Arabic to listen to and the English translation directly underneath to read. You could play the entire prayer at once, and it included reading the chapters of the Quran. Now the redesign removed the chapters from the audio and translation. You have to swipe to get to the next section of the prayer instead of continuously reading. The translation is different. So unbelievably frustrating by this. Seriously feel like my ability to pray has been severely hampered. It was such a perfect app, I don’t understand any of the new design choices. Seems like they didn’t to any beta testing or research as to what users liked about it old version. It’s no longer useful to me and I can’t find another app that worked the way this one did before it’s update.

This is a fantastic app for New Muslims, as it goes through the performance of each prayer set by step with transliteration of the Arabic and an English translation if one needs it for understanding. It's just basic enough without being too complicated. One should be comfortable in performing Salat with this app. 😇
