LENS SIMULATION
Leica LUX brings the world of Leica to your iPhone by imitating a variety of legendary Leica lenses. You can explore the unique world of Leica lenses, each offering its own image style. Lens simulations include classics – such as the Summilux-M 28mm f/1.4 ASPH. and the Noctilux-M 50mm f/1.2 ASPH. – the app is continuously being expanded to include additional lenses. The custom software engine also creates bokeh quality images, a style synonymous with Leica photography, directly in your iPhone.
ICONIC LEICA LOOKS
Leica LUX is based on Leica's own renowned colour science and offers the same colour corrections and film presets used in Leica cameras. These include Leica Looks such as Leica Classic, Leica Contemporary, Leica Black & White and Leica Vivid. A total of twelve Looks are available that open the door to artistic expression, giving your images rich textures, emotional nuance and individuality.

I am obsessed with taking photos on this app! I’ve always been into cell phone photography but this app has taken my pictures to the next level. My friends all know I use it. My one problem (aside from the app being a little glitchy sometimes)- can you add the functionality to allow after edits? I want to be able to change color filters after the fact instead of having to take five pics with different filters to see which is best. Also if you could allow photos not taken in the app to be edited into different styles and lenses that would be even better. Thanks!
A perfect camera app
I’ve tried various camera apps over the years and this one is a luxury to use. This review is for the non Pro version which I will look into purchasing in the near future.
The photos immediately are well adjusted and filtered to look great. The iPhone camera app does take great photos but you would still need to edit your photos where as the Leica photos look fantastic when finished. I consider myself to be a very good photo editor and yet I am very impressed with the Leica photos.

Minus the slow performance, I have never seen anything like this.
Let’s get the docked star out of the way. The app does have some performance issues. For me, I had a moment where it dragged unrelated apps down, such as Messages. That is something that should be fixed, obviously.
However, this app is a beast when it comes to rendering an image. I can’t objectively describe what is going on, but that’s kind of the point with photography looks. It’s distinctive. I normally shoot with my Panasonic Lumix, which does have Leica lenses in its system and has a distinct look with its photos. I feel as if my 13 mini is nearly equal with this app. So bravo on having the good parts of the app be otherworldly.
